Even though CAF was sulking I quite enjoyed the game. Not for the result but we got to see some nice debuts and youngsters get some game time. A lot of players today hardly played this season so was good for them to get some minutes as we go into Christmas busy schedule.
Shoretire, Mengi, Amad all looked quite comfortable out there.
Baily and Greenwood were clearly above the rest in performance.
Matic, Mata and Lingard will not be missed when they leave.

Well, it'll be interesting to google these young'uns in 5 years and see where they ended up.

Decent first half, awful second very reminiscent of Ole-ball. Hope Ralf has seen enough here to know that the likes of Matic, Mata and Lingard to name a few have no future here.

Good result. Awful second half. Really unimpressed by the lethargic-ness and sloppiness of senior players.

Job done.

Great moment for the young lads, very telling game for some of the senior players.

As I said in the match thread, VDB the poorest for me purely based on the fact I felt he had the most to gain from a good performance.

It was fun, shame Elanga didn't take that chance. Draw was fair overall, even if Young Boys dominated the second half.

Matic though  genuinely looked like he was drunk at times.

Opening 20 was promising, thought we were in for a great game but the second half was so poor.

Greenwood for Rashford on Saturday the only change needed.

Enjoyable game. No pressure and a good opportunity to see the squad players and youngsters get a run out.

really missed the injection of experience today. Having said that, players that were given enough minutes for their opportunity did not grasp it.

Aside from Greenwood, I don't think anyone else gave Ralf something to think about.

Nothing I can add to this, spot on.

Decent first half, messy second. To be expected with so many changes made. It was nice to see a number of youngsters given a chance. Amad showed glimpses of his talent, hopefully he gets more chances otherwise a loan would be good.

AWB, Matic, Lingard & Mata were poor. Bailly was good. Mason took his goal well.

I think Ralf will have learnt a lot about some of these players.

Great to Savage and his son making his debut.

Hello of a drop off in the 2nd half, but wouldn’t read too much into it, it really was a mish mash of a team, kids, OAPs, doubtful 2nd stringers, many of them out of position.

Some of the players knocking on the door of the first team need to show more though, if they get another chance that is.

Can’t say any of them will have forced their way into the team at weekend apart from Mason

That 2nd half was horrendous, shocking from nearly everybody. Greenwood and bailly pretty good

VDB was absolutely horrific, passing was awful and the selection of passing was so bad
Lingard also very poor, although that was a typical lingard performance

It waa fine! We had enough chances to score and win.

More of a fact finding exercise for Ralf plus a chance to give the senior players some rest. Not sure what the moaning is about.

Ugly match to be honest. However, it’s good to see senior players rested and a chance given to these kids.

hope we can do that more often. Clearly players like Amad and Elanga (who on paper are the closest to the first team) need game time to gain confidence

Greenwood class, Bailly very good as well. A lot more to come from Shaw.
Van de Beek just a very average footballer. Pretty over Wan Bissaka, I think Dalot is going to take that job pretty quickly (looks injured now though which you don't want to see).

Good to avoid defeat here and to give loads of kids a run out.

I understand the whole Savage sentimental saga but poor Iqbal having his historic debut ruined.
