Predict Man Utd’s summer 2026 deadline day

They haven't backed the manager. The usual shite after securing CL. Disgraceful carry on. We will finish between 4-7th this season because of it. They have no intention of kicking on and challenging.

Hope people keep the lack of commitment from the Glazers and INEOS in mind before jumping on Carrick if things go wrong this season

Well something is going to happen because of Amazon's All or Nothing show. We're not going to show the world how broke we are, are we?

Of course we are, we’ll probably drop a crowd-funding link at the end of the documentary as well.

Jason Wilcox is already lined-up to give the traditional "no value in the market" quote on camera.

And if Baleba was left until today to be signed it would the greatest deadline day ever

All quiet on the transfer front. Shambles of a transfer window.

Genuinely find it incomprehensible that the defence has not been altered. Even if it was a case of moving on Mazraoui, Dalot, Martinez etc to make space and then bringing in others.

Over the course of an entire league season with cup competitions, that defence will simply not hold up and inevitably it will cause cracks through the team.

We’ve seen this tail so many times and it likely will play out the same way it always does.

That would involve actually selling a few players and investing back into the team, something we seem incapable of doing

I recall at the time Ralf recommending, Enzo, Alvarez, Gvardiol, Laimer and Nukuku.

Laimer and Nukuku didn't really pan out, career wise. The other three would have been great signings.
I don't know, Laimer is not a world beater, but he is a regular starter for Bayern who just gave him a new contract worth €230k a week, how should his career have panned out?

If we don’t sell Zirkzee and/or someone else and don’t sign a LB, it’s a 4/10 transfer window at max :(

Typical rubbish summer. Had the chance to really build something. Not one signing that genuinely improves the first team except Carlos Baleba (if he gets back to his old form). How we can go into another season with Shaw and Dalot at fb is beyond me.

Pretty hard to bear considering one of the many excuses in January was we were keeping our powder dry for the summer.

So limited at FB on either side and it's such a crucial position in top teams in the last 10 years+

Hard to see us going deep in any tournament with a defence thats neither good with or without the ball.

Basically a much worse summer than last year

Easily.

In both summers we signed three players to address a key position, but last summer we also signed a first choice goalkeeper who proved to be the signing of the summer.

And last summer we also managed to sell Garnacho & Antony, and secure loans for Rashford and Hojlund, with the latter ultimately becoming a permanent sale. Whereas this summer we've been left stuck with Rashford and Zirkzee, and the best sale managed was Vitek for a relatively small amount.

And last summer's window didn't take place in the context of us having to add players to deal with an increased number of games everyone predicted to seriously challenge our squad.

Maybe it will look better in retrospect if the three midfield signings prove to be absolutely stellar, or if something changes in the final few hours, but on face value it's been a very poor transfer window.

And tomorrow, the PR machine goes into overdrive. Oh, this is going to be fun.

Get ready for the greatest hits: “There was no value on the market” and “We’re preparing for a summer like never before in 2027.”

Can’t wait for the creative writing to begin.

Don't bother we will just tear it apart

Who said Chema Andres wasn't a good signing for us? Or that Real Madrid won't let him move...

Who predicted no activity at all?
I Said 2weeks ago thought wed get balde until seemed he wanted to stay and maybe paige....but carricks post match interview...hed alreasy been briefed nobody else coming

This is actually a shocking window if our business is done. Carrick hasn't been backed.

UTD are struggling like mad yet again as Man City buy yet another £100m+ midfielder & another £60m+ on another player.

Cb i dont mind, but 2fbs was crucial to me if we were to challenge. Shaw is still goid defensively but offers little attacking wise....dalot offers little.
Beginning of window people banging on about likes of anderson/fernandes being transfomative signings...disagree and actually think weve signed best cm we could have of all names im baleba...none of them are transformative...but two quality full backs would have been as added so much offensively to our play and improved us defensively too...hall, balde, kayode, gusto, palestre, wesley, ganiou.....so many names.
One possible positive for me is rashford staying and competing with cunha for lw when seskos fit...may mean dorgu used at lb at times, maybe even rb inverted...still think he can add far more all round than our current full backs...dont think he does on the flanks

Surely we haven't just loaned out Zirkzee, to not sign a striker/left back?

Rashy like a new signing.

Mount, as well, for few mins or so.

Feels pure shit. Just want Ed Woodward and his reckless spending back. At least transfer windows weren't as dull as this one has been and we showed ambition at least. Feeling so deflated ahead of the season now. We know it's coming. Christmas?
