Ceiling: the highest position they could realistically finish if most things go right.
Floor: the lowest position they could realistically finish if things go badly.

The challenge is to make your window as narrow and accurate as possible.

Scoring

Each team is worth a maximum of 20 points.
  1. Start with 20 points.
  2. Deduct one point for every additional position included in your window.
  3. When a team finishes outside your window, deduct another five points for every place outside it.
  4. Add together your scores for all 20 teams. The maximum overall score is 400 points.
Example 1
You give a team a ceiling of 1st and a floor of 4th:
  • They finish anywhere within 1st - 4th: 17 points
  • They finish 5th: 12 points
  • They finish 6th: 7 points
  • They finish 7th: 2 points
  • They finish 8th: -3 points
  • They finish 9th: -8 points
  • They finish 10th or lower: -10 points
Example 2
You give a team a ceiling of 20th and a floor of 20th:
  • They finish 20th: 20 points
  • They finish 19th: 15 points
  • They finish 18th: 10 points
  • They finish 17th: 5 points
  • They finish 16th: 0 points etc, all the way to -10 points min.
