United's two worst players on the pitch make it 2-0

Also Rashford. Take a bow.

Have to say that AWB and Maguire have been excellent. Slotted in perfectly.

United’s midfield is a concern.

No idea what to make of Chelsea.

Best fecking beat them on Wednesday. Be embarrassing losing to this Chelsea side and handing lampard his first trophy in his 2nd competitive game.

Ralf Rangnick.
Feel for Lampard. Just a freak result. Chelsea have played well apart from the meltdown in defence. I thought they've been the better team on the whole.

He's a clever guy, I'm sure he won't be results orientated so he'll bounce back in no time.

Weird game. Lots if individual mistakes, both teams a bit disjointed. United won't get away with Pereira and Martial playing like this very often

On the other hand chelsea have been pretty bad off the ball, and fairly ineffective with it except in transition off united's players mistakes. But they did hit the post twice and really should have been up at HT too...

All fart no poo and a shit defence to boot. Basically equates to they will be nowhere near top four this season and will struggle to even stay in the top six. No Hazard to bail them out any longer!

A lot of mistakes in the game. Especially Zouma in first half, deer in the headlights.

Lampard bit naïve with the team selection and tactically, given Kante only on bench. Personally I don't think Mount / Abraham should be starting, especially a big away game at OT.

I expected a much more conservative game plan. Not surprising suprising as it's Lampard's first game as a top flight manager. Could be a long season if he doesn't learn fast.

Chelsea are absolutely hilarious. So easy to cut open with a couple of passes.

When do we play them? Cannot wait .

We play them on Wednesday. They have to leave this game and fly to Turkey for the Super Cup final. The flip side of that is that we leave that game and then have a 3pm kick off at Southampton on Saturday.

Mctominay has been really good today.

Yes, but then they'll persevere with Lampard longer than they should. It's a win win.

Play anywhere near your best level and you will put them to the sword.

He has. As have both United's new signings - and despite me criticising Pogba earlier, since then he's picked up two fantastic assists.

I think the scoreline flatters United because Chelsea have been completely inept, but they're a serious top 4 contender for sure.

You guys care about the Super Cup? (And the CWC, now that I think about it)
Super cup we haven’t won since 2005 and it’s Chelsea.. and CWC more so because your only in it if you win the CL and we’ve never won it. If Klopp wins neither it’s another laugh for those that love to mock him.

It’s so hard to judge most teams after one game, but this opening weekend hasn’t changed much for me.

City, Liverpool and Spurs top three. United or Arsenal fourth then Chelsea.
