4 points off 4th having played a game more!
It seems like we’re being told City are running away with it without City actually running away with it
This is it. You can't say it's obviously City's when they're not even top, let alone 10 points clear or so.

Though as long as they keep a good 6-7 points clear of Liverpool that's all that matters.

Dippers showing aggression is the key against this lot, but our players were more of kittycats

Yep lovely to see Liverpool kickstart their season and with Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and City ahead it means Top 4 just got near impossible
Calm down buddy. Nobody has any idea how this season will pan out. No point in making wild predictions just yet

That’ll kick start their season.

Good watch.

Liverpool simply had to win this and it showed. They changed how they played to grind it out.
When teams change the way they play against Liverpool, Klopp goes mental. Klopp is the worst hypocrite ever!

Why did Foden play on the left? He was absolutely clueless.

Mahrez hasn't played yet this season...and when we start getting multiple games a week, their bench strength will manipulate them

Winner here is Sky and BT. Title race can be on.

When things start going for you, start to wonder.

Correct. Unbelievable how we stood off them.

It helps set the tone. When youre getting booked for soft challenges, (or tackles) it changes your mindset.
If you get away with a lot of stuff, you carry it on.
OK I am honestly fed up with whole tone that refs are bent against us. Refs are shite, period. Enough with the rawk level conspiracies.

If you look at our challenges we make at most games, they are extremely clumsy. McTom and Dalot are often the worst offenders in this.

Been saying for weeks that this City love-in is particularly bizarre when they are not even fecking top! Apparently the league is decided and nobody needs to bother try and compete with the team that is…second (just about!).

What happened to all their CBs? I thought Laporte was on the bench last game.

Certainly don't want to be playing too many key games with Akanji and Ake starting. Cancelo had a shocker aswell.

Interesting how few subs he makes when games are in the balance aswell. Grealish and Mahrez unused today.

Shame Arsenal-Man. City got postponed as that would be a real interesting watch although perhaps better for Arsenal in long run.

Liverpool with 36℅ possession, played tight and quite deep at times especially in the 2nd half and picked them off on the break

Am I the only United fan happy with this result? City are the ones to keep up with and if they run away now there’s no catching up. We have to stay in the mix as much as possible. Arsenal will have a dodgy run somewhere along the line, liverpool will drop points. We got to stay as in the mix aslong as possible.
We are not going to be in the mix stop deluding yourself. This is a building season

They will still shoot 90 + points very comfortably.

I hoped that City would smash them so that our loss wouldn't be in isolation. Sucks that they won.

Nah its done for us. Everyone was saying it was going to be a goalfest for City when in fact it was obvious Liverpool were going to get something out of it be it a point or 3.

Judging by the way we played today we will do well to get Europa league. Not just by our own shortcomings but just that theres that many teams ahead of us.
