Somebody needs to tell Uniteds midfielders when their team has the ball its ok to move away from the blue shirts to receive it.
It has to be a mental block surely, a PL player must know the football basics of receiving a pass

I think Gary Neville may know something we don't. Social media is flooded with talks of ear pieces galore in this Chelsea game and it certainly is not Ole on the other end.

Its insane, I watched even Fernandes do it, Sancho has the ball, all he has to do is run forward 4 yards to get the ball and he just stands behind the Chelsea player. Granted its rare for Bruno to be so lazy but Rashford consistently runs away from the ball and into crowded spaces. Has to be infuriating for you guys

Trying to watch this game as a Utd 'supporter' is fecking awful. :nervous:

My brain and voicebox hurts with the shit play from AWB, Lindelof, Rashford and Sancho in particular. But generally the lack of movement and bricking every pass coming their way. I have never felt this low supporting any Liverpool team in the last 37 years. Not even Hodgson's. Not sure I want to watch the second half in this mode.

The movement is definitely a problem and has been for a while.

Thats a fair amount for Chelsea, I'd imagine defensive teams like them constantly overperform their xg to some extent though.
This is just ignorance. We are not a defensive team, we don’t even play with a DM and our wingbacks (so far) are outperforming most wingers in the league. You don’t get that by being defensive.

As far as XG goes. It’s not one of the 10 commandments. It’s a measurement. If a team out performs xg for a couple of games it’s a purple patch, if they outperform xg for an entire year then the XG is incorrect and the data needs to be corrected.

Michael Carrick and Sancho = Tony Pulis and Jon Walters. Get in. Smash and grab.

This is in line with United’s recent form against Chelsea. Since Ole came in it’s been all United I think.

Give it Carricksy til end of season.

That's Jorginho down to about 200th in Balon D'or list again.

Tuchel surely got to bring some of Havertz, Lukaku, Mount on soon. They can surely manage 30 minutes and surprised they didn't start Pulisic given he scored last week.

Kante is also a big miss against this sort of midfield.

Not if you bring on some of your actual first teamers.

Said pre kick off the actual Chelsea first 11 wasn't that great.

Likes of Werner and RLC aren't championship winning players really. Chalolbah having a nice run but again would've got long odds in August of him being a regular starter for Chelsea.

You are very much a defense first team. You played 550 practically at the bridge vs City at least till you went behind. Its doesn't mean you don't deserve to be where you are but lets not pretend at least against competent opposition you go out to play on the front foot.

United bringing on Ronaldo plus taking their sweet time over every set piece and throw in. They'll see out the game, even if we being on Pulisic, Havertz, Lukaku etc.

There's still 20 + minutes left plus probably 4-5 injury time to get at least a draw.

Tuchel is usually superb at in game management so surprised he's leaving subs until 70th min considering who you have on the bench.

For all chances and corners you've had you lack a goal threat on the pitch currently.

Mmmm....i'm always a bit ambivalent about these kinds of penalties...but the ball was there, Thiago Silva wasn't exactly overextending to get his leg in front of the defender....

Ziyech is a funny one. Lovely technical player but not enough end product, crying out for Pulisic at least for a bit more direct play.

Meh. Toothless Chelsea reared its ugly head again. United were terrible. We weren't much better, apart from being good at keeping possession in safe areas.
