There's only one United!
Weird to think if we somehow win on Monday we will be above Liverpool after our start to the season.

Wonder if they will call for Koop to be sacked like ETH.
They'll never do that - They're the darlings of the media and referees!

Liverpool need to sign a top quality midfielder this window or they have no chance of winning the title. City are far too strong for them.

We don't really have a chance for the league this season anyway, so no point panic buying players. That's Utd's way of doing things.

We have injury concerns all over that will steadily get worse (Alisson on and off, Kelleher, Jota, Konate, Matip, Gomez, Thiago, Hendo at risk, list will grow) and we can't buy everywhere. Here we are not City either.

So realistically we need to finish top four and focus on another trophy or two. That should be manageable. Ideally the CL for which we're quite good at getting to the finals. We might even trip over into winning another one if we get there again.

Klopp will have to wait for the PL title when Pep finally fecks off next season or the season after. Thank God Klopp extended with us to 2025 (2026?).

Absolutely no pressure for Klopp to win the league yet again.
Can’t fail if we don’t expect him to win

I know you’re waiting for Bellingham but you need two. You shouldn’t be relying on Milner ffs.

It isn’t panic buying either. This was something clear before the league began.

Agreed, we've needed midfielders for almost ever. But we had to go all in for Nunez. Now we've taken that gamble there's no more (proper big) money for a Nunes (who is rumoured to be waiting for Pep anyway once Silva leaves) and there is no one else good enough yet to for this season's remaining budget according to our scouts.

So this season will be a PL title write off and a chance to gel the likes of Nunez, Elliot, Carvalho and maybe even Bajetic. Then in the summer we go for two big name and well scouted midfielders, including like you say Bellingham.

Why you spent £85m and blew your budget on Nunez as opposed to spending half that and using the rest in midfield is baffling really.

Huge overpay has cost you when you normally get these things right.

Because we lost Mane.

That’s fair. It’s a risky strategy. With these injuries and other teams around you like Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal it wouldn’t be a surprise if you had another season like the one before last. It’s equally as likely as you finishing 2nd.
