Rafa won't be happy.

Fair goal and wolves should have had a free kick on the far edge of their box after a player grabbed a wolves player's foot

Delighted for the only reason that a ref hasn't taken the easy option and protected the keeper. They get far, far too much of it.

Restricted Wolves to 4 shots on target which isn't too bad.

Wolves had a great season but they tend to struggle in these home games v bottom half teams, lost to Newcastle, Palace and Huddersfield at home last few months. They would honestly prefer to play an Arsenal or Man. United who would attack and leave spaces at the back.
Wolves played very well and had all the chances. Scoreline certainly flatters Newcastle.

Nah average performance from Wolves, they have played better about ten times this season (Spurs, Man. City, Arsenal, Man. United, West Ham etc). They're not too hot in home games when opposition park the bus.

I liked the referee's performance. Didn't give out fouls for soft contact or players going down just to win a free kick.

And they made a sub in the end, so he added to the additional time. Rarely do you see refs do that.

They can do better of course. But in end it boils down to chances created vs chances conceded which was pretty clear cut.

Definite foul on the keeper though the keeper should have punched that instead of trying to catch that.

There's really nothing more sickening in football than conceding last minute.

VAR probably would help here. Hopefully Newcastle won't regret this decision at the end of the season.
