Hell of a game changing 5mins wasn't it.
Equaliser, then West Ham's main guy coming off!

The guy that handled it passed the ball to someone else who crossed the ball. Its not immediate. Read the rule, if you care about what is right, then come back to us.

“‘Accidental’ handball by an attacking player (or team-mate) is only penalised if it occurs ‘immediately’ before a goal or clear goal-scoring opportunity.

“If an attacking player accidentally touches the ball with their hand or arm and the ball then goes to another attacking player and the attacking team immediately scores, this is a handball offence.

“It is not an offence if, after an accidental handball, the ball travels some distance (pass or dribble) and/or there are several passes before the goal or goal-scoring opportunity.”

17.22 Handball by Soucek
17.24 First touch Soucek
17.25 Second touch Soucek
17.25 Pass to Coufal
17.27 Cross to Antonio
17.29 Goal by Antonio

It was "immediately" before goal.
There were only 2 passes and 4 touches before goal.
Ball didn't travel some (big) distance. I would say about 60-65 yards in total.
It took 7 seconds from handball to goal. 5 seconds from first touch with foot to ball in goal.

For me, that should not be allowed.

Where's Haller? Got to be one of the worst signings.

Feel sorry for Rice. His midfield is offering no help and he's working his socks off

Yeah, a guy at work seemed to think Haller was a superb signing. Seemed odd.

The new rule is stupid anyway because that means that anyone can handball and hope that it’s not flagged up straight away, play a few passes and they’ll get away with it
Deliberate handball is still handball though. This is only applied to those "accidental" ones

Are some of our fans seriously cheering on Man City already?

Van Dijk out most of the season, and their defence was already looking like a disaster zone (for months now), and everyone looking capable of beating everyone else. It’s entirely possible we could be in the mix for a run at the title if these top two clown sides keep messing up. :)

Btw who is even asking for all these new rules???
Everyone. Based on last seasons rule if there was an accidental handball at the halfway line then 10 passes and goal the goal was ruled out. It happened a few times last season

West ham's midfield is shockingly inept, apart from Rice.

Lose antonio and they look clueless

It's blown wide open already, was over so early last year that cheering City was a long pointless and disappointing exercise.

We are in a very good moment of form, Spuds was an anomaly- just ask PSG.

If City are in the hunt, we certainly are too.

Title is up for grabs, Top 4 is going to be very open, personally hoping all top teams drop points as often as possible and see where it leaves us at the end.

Points dropped for Man .City if they don't win this, they usually score 4 or 5 on this ground don't they?

Doubt it's a co-incidence that West Ham seem to have really picked up since they dropped Marc Noble, amazed he last so long as their "leader" as his legs went years ago.

Why was the WH player lying on the pitch during the free-kick?
