Premier League Matchday 7 | 3/10/25 - 5/10/25

Was Leeds-Spurs a smash-and-grab as the stats suggest?

I thought it was a fairly even contest that we just shaded. Sadly we've not got many clinical finishers and they benefitted from a couple of deflected goals. Was a good, well fought game. If we go back down it won't be through lack of competitiveness.

Every game Odegaard gets an injury in a weird unlucky contact...

Arsenal lead. Declan Rice. Serves WHU fans for booing him.
He once again doesn’t celebrate. Their treatment of their Captain that lead them to their first trophy for decades and then netted them over £100m is bizarre.

Have to agree. He gave them good service why boo him. I know fans think players should not want to leave, but seriously. This isn't a Bobby Moore team.

Long throws galore at every ground in the PL recently. RIP the Stoke FC jibes

Wirtz on the bench. Slot going back to our midfield three from last season. Isak starts.

If the foul continues inside the box, as it clearly did here, it’s a penalty.
Could he have held back even more after the initial contact? I would say this is a borderline case, but maybe I will change my mind with more replays.

Wirtz has been such a failure. Hilarious how the media are trying to make excuses for him. Had Utd signed him he'd be getting crucified.

At least Lavia is on the bench. Squad looks pretty thin with injuries, considering...

Chelsea win will make my Saturday complete. Pools to lose 3 in a row.

Wow Chelsea milking that farce tournament by proclaiming themselves ‘World Champions’ on the advertising hoarding

Garnacho could do wonders for his caf PR here. Just needs to score and celebrate like he's won the World Cup. Not too much to ask, is it?
