I said in some cases
In that scenario it would be a case of sharing with family friends via NowTV and BT Sport subscriptions of which isn’t just restricted to Sky tv or Virgin, you can view BT via just the app, most smart TVs or all NowTV boxes have the BT Sport app to log into
I think like someone else mentioned
Folks are including their broadband and TV deal into the package
Yeah if it was split yeah you’d save but if not then there are zero cheap options.
Not to sound cocky but I know exactly how they all work and the methods to reduce prices etc but ultimately when Sky, BT and virgin do all these deals there is always a catch.
They give you 18 month deals for a lower price but during those months they will send you a letter twice a year about a standard “£4 a month increase” to “improve the service” and then after 18 months prices are back to being rocket high and most people would have forgotten at that stage.
Then with Sky and virgin, in order to even get a sports package you MUST pay for a basic package even if you have zero interest in their other products. Then they start throwing in extra hd charges.
The ONLY way of getting a decent price regularly is to pretend to leave every 18 months and after 4/5 years (as my mate found) they then stop offering you cheap deals anyway.
But yeah unless you share bill with others there are absolutely no cheap alternatives. Even Nowtv, yeah it’s 25£ but it’s a stream so never looks quite right live and if you live in certain areas of the U.K. you have buffering issues.
You also can’t record, rewind or any of that extra stuff.
All these companies have us by the fecking balls. All the work arounds, kodi, dodgy boxes, streams etc are all being shut down on a daily basis with even police resources now being used just so Sky and co can continue to feck us all to death.
