It looks like we are extending contracts of all the deadwood players in the squad as well which does not bode well for the club. We've already extended Jones, Rojo, Young and will most likely extend Pereira and Mata as well. With all these extensions, I don't see us recruiting much and possibly spending 100m at max which would possibly include a CB at best, especially if we are thinking world class.

Woodward again being a business man when he should be hiring a Director of Football and letting that person make the footballing decisions at the club. Let's admit the fact that what Ole has achieved with the club thus far is nothing short of a miracle. Maybe not this season, but next season we will be found out and then the trouble begins.... especially with Chelsea being struck with a ban, they will recruit heavily this summer more so if they lose Hazard. Arsenal look like a rejuvenated team and will be a challenge for us in our pursuit for top 4

I love Ole as a manager for United and I would want him for years to come but I hope we are not fooling ourselves... because we cannot keep relying on counter attacking football at all times... We need to offer some sort of creativity when we do possess the ball and are trying to create something against a team that just closes shop.

Manchester United transfer EXCLUSIVE: Red Devils identify Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ivan Rakitic as summer targets

talkSPORT 2 has revealed the three players who United will try and buy before the start of next season
Manchester United have identified Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic as their main transfer targets this summer.

As exclusively revealed on talkSPORT 2 on Thursday, the club will try and buy those three players before the start of next season in their bid to make up lost ground on rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

The esteemed list is headlined by 21-year-old right-back Wan-Bissaka, who has established himself as one of Europe’s hottest prospects after a fine breakthrough season at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal are also monitoring Wan-Bissaka and it is understood Palace will demand up to £40million or more for the England youth international.

United are keen to strengthen at right-back, with Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young both 33, and Diogo Dalot struggling to make an impact under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

A central defender is also high among their priorities and the Red Devils are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Senegal international Koulibaly.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed in December that United made a £95million bid for the 27-year-old before Jose Mourinho was sacked.

Koulibaly is considered among the best defenders in European football, and with top centre-backs at a premium, the Red Devils would have to break the transfer record for a defender, set by Liverpool when they bought Virgil van Dijk for £75million in January 2018.

And Barcelona playmaker Rakitic has also emerged as a target for the Manchester giants.

The Catalans are considering selling the 30-year-old midfielder to help balance their books, with Inter Milan understood to be leading the chase for his signature.

Wouldn't mind Rakitic as a stop gap for one or two seasons if we could get him on the cheap. He seems like he has the technical ability and tactical versatility to play across the midfield, adding some much needed depth to our squad. The only downside would be from a squad management perspective having 3 midfielders the wrong side of 30 but imo is still worth considering as there are other positions which need to be addressed first.

Part of me believes the Sanchez thing.
He was thriving as the 'main man' at Arsenal, everything revolved around him and he's flopped when he's been asked to be a cog in a machine. I could see him taking a 'step down' in terms of prestige (such as China, MLS) if it meant getting back the glory days of being the top dog.

Metro: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Manchester United to sanction deal for PSG star Adrien Rabiot to replace Ander Herrera.
Representatives from United seen at PSG.

Not sure it's a good idea anyway, but the notion we would let Herrera go is madness. Give him a fecking contract. He deserves it more than DDG deserves £400K a week, that's for sure.
