Florida averages 7 deaths from lightning a year. They have to clear the stadiums if lightning is in the area because, in Florida, it can sound like you are in a war zone when lightning and thunder is close.

How do they handle other sporting events?
Considering they literally had a whole continent to choose from, couldn’t they have picked a more hospitable place than Miami for one of the QFs? Like Vancouver is a very comfortable 15 degrees right now, perfect for a match between two Northern European teams.
NFL football is the only sport played outdoors in Florida at the professional level and that is in the Fall and Winter with less heat and less chance of storms (though it still happens because it's still hot in South Florida in December). They just delay games until the storms pass since they are usually fast moving and short. If you go to Disney in the Summer, you can expect an afternoon storm that lasts for an hour then goes away.
Its mind boggling. I can only think they wanted it there for the South Florida vibe for events around the WC and not the game. The Miami stadium isn't even in the top 10 or 15 if best NFL stadiums either.
I will also add that FIFA required cities to pony up $150,000,000 from the hosting cites as well, which is why Minneapolis dropped out (they have an amazing new draft that would have been perfect).

If and when the US hosts the WC again, they should the climate controlled domes from the QFs onwards.

30 degrees and high humidity is no big deal for you. But for us Northern Europeans it's hell on earth. And most of these players are used to playing when it's between 0 and 25 degrees with medium/low humidity. Of course the conditions matter. Especially when it comes to heat.
I'd much rather play in minus 10 degrees than plus 25 (or above).
His use if "even" clarifies that he is not rooting for Argentina because he is black but (and I am inferring now) that Argentina's historic abuse if black people and continued racism issues isn't a deal breaker when they play England.
Well it's the "World" Cup and not the Nothern European Cup so it's just part of the challenge rather than something spectacular and absurd.
No human on earth can play 90 minutes of football in conditions feeling like 40+ degrees, doesn't matter where they come from. It'll be a farce of a match where players will have to play within themselves just to last

Maybe hold off on the judgement of embarrassing until you get the context. Neither country is without it's dark past and uncomfortable present. But we'd do well to focus on the football rather that a game of racism top trumps?

You are entitled to your views. I remember living in the UK at the time of the 1986 WC Argentina England. I rooted badly for Argentina to win at the time. Growing up as a brown foreigner in England from the age of 12 - I experienced a lot of racism at the time. However, times have changed significantly. I left UK 25 years ago and when I come back frequently to visit my mom and family, I hardly feel any racism - progress has been made. I now support England and it really feels like home when I go to visit. Interestingly enough, I experienced more politics and racism of sorts trying to enter Argentina recently / in fact we were refused entry and deported! So just wanted to offer you another perspective based on my own experiences.

Can't see Norway's defence being able to deal with Kane & Co, and sadly predict England to win 3 or 4-1.

England have been exceptionally fortunate with conditions so far. Double edge sword though. Norway will be more acclimatised to the conditions, but their longer exposure will have negative impact on them, whereas England are the least used to playing in the heat, which could be a issue, but favourable conditions until tonight could mean there’s less fatigue built up
