Pogue Mahone
In the middle.
Yeah that is not a goalkeeping error, by any definition. Cracking save then a belt in the face from his own player leaves him too stunned to react to the follow up.

On these videos I mainly see a keeper who boots the ball wide most of the time. Surely not Manuel Neuer reborn.
Nothing against him and maybe he will come good as he shows signs of good positioning, dominance and trying to palm the ball out of danger (although not that succesful), but he clearly is no short term solution.

Spot on.There are a few people who are overexcited, and yes one of the reasons is our current keepers are appalling.
We should just let him get games. It’s a good league. My City friends are very happy with him thus far, but there will be mistakes.
Let a young player develop and get games, we don’t need to be analysing his every game. Far too early to judge him.
Let’s me satisfied that we potentially have got a loan right - that’s a good start!
It may just have been too much too soon, but here we are, looking to pay around £17-20m for a GK when Vitek is doing so well on loan.
Reminds me of that time we sold a perfectly capable GK, only to bring in ... Onana.
Yeah, course he was...Reminds me of that time we sold a perfectly capable GK
You think Onana has a value? That there’s any club out there that would pay a fee for him?We would recoup whatever we pay for Lammens by selling Bayandir and Onana. If Lammens works out, we can bring Vitek to United to back him up or even compete for the starting job.

Bayindir, we could probably get our money back on or thereabouts.
You don’t think any PL side would buy Onana I assume?Yes, outside the the realm of United fans who despise him, he does have a pretty good CV, so I would expect us to get about 15-20m for him at this point. Bayandir could go for another 7-10. Basically enough to eventually cover what we pay for Lammens.

Then take out the top clubs around Europe, and you aren’t left with anyone who is going to spend £15-20m on Onana. Look at how many keepers have been sold for more £20m or more in the history of the game - and you will see how unlikely it is.
There are so many alternatives available that don’t have his baggage or wages, that I can’t see anyone in for him.

You don't think Henderson is at least as good as Onana?Yeah, course he was...

Henderson is better. But I tohought you were talking about Kovar for a second. You don't think Henderson is at least as good as Onana?
Henderson should've been given a chance. But I think Vitek has the ability to be the #1 for United and I think he will be a better keeper than even Lammens due to the fact he's a giant and knows how to use his size and stature to his advantage. You don't think Henderson is at least as good as Onana?
Hear me out. Is he the best keeper we’ve ever had?
Not sure I’ve seen or been more confident in a number 1 ever before. That save in the second half was Gordon Banks level of world class.
He’s the best shot stopper in the division.
I don’t go back as far as you but he’s certainly the best I’ve seen. I just adore him. United please can we keep him
Best since Heaton. My favourite since Basso
So far, a bloody brilliant goalkeeper
Heaton wasn’t half as good.
That save he made at 3-1 was sensational.
I love him already. What a highlight reel in one game. Celebrating his saves with a smile and a raise of the arms, great to see.
Can we start negotiating to make this into a 3 year loan already?
Best I have personally seen is Basso, Vitek is definitely the best keeper we have had since those days, if Man Utd let us keep him all season he's going win us a lot of games
I don't think being as good as Onana is a high bar. Henderson is alright. Solid number two keeper for a top side. Nothing special. You don't think Henderson is at least as good as Onana?

Jesus!
He had a decent record in Serie A. Plus, we have the McTomiany Factor*.
* A decent product that was misused/mismanaged at Manchester United. All at a reasonable price.
From what I’m reading he’s a decent shot stopper but poor at distribution . Hopefully he keeps Max O’ Leary out when he returns from injury otherwise we may as well recall him in January and get him to challenge tweetle dum and tweetle Dee (if we don’t sign a GK)
He also has a tendency to parry a lot of saves , one fantastic save over the weekend doesn’t automatically make him the best in class.Decent shot stopper ? DECENT ?????![]()

So miles ahead of our current 2 keepers, who also are terrible with their feet?Vitek is not good with the ball at this feet. He's fine shot stopper and has good positional awareness. But painting him as good enough for our first team is flawed.
