Radek Vítek | 2025/26 Performances | on loan to Bristol City

Sounds harsh but from United's point of view it's not the worst thing to see him make a mistake like that. Those happen to all keepers at some point, the important thing is how they react to it. Bristol City play on Tuesday and Friday so he's got two games coming up quickly to bounce back and show he's able to not let it affect him.

Yeah it was all going a bit too well down in Bristol for him. Absolute howler. But in a way, that type of game is far more important for his development, than the numerous 8 out of 10 performances he's been putting in. How he responds to it can make or break him.

Not great for that goal

Just don’t see it in him to be honest I think he’ll make his way around Europe etc but hopefully we get a decent fee / sell on for him.

That's the likeliest scenario. People used to rave about Kovar as well. Who turned out to be much worse than old Hradecky.

Ominous news for those hoping Vitek would remain on loan indefinitely for many years to come. ;)

Needs to be back next season as second goalkeeper. Possible European Football and extended Carabao cup run should keep both keepers happy for next season at least.

If we are sending on loan again we should be charging £5-£10million for the season.

Good again today. His distribution is average but we don’t seem to really be prioritising that at present.

Just scored an unlucky own goal, straight from a corner. 2-0 down away to Wrexham.

Best piece of footage of the save.

I owe him a pint

For those who watched his development over the past two seasons, how does he compare to Lammens?

I can't remember a single time when 2 GKs fighting for no1 spot has ever worked out but maybe Vitek deserves a chance next season.

It's an unbelievable save, I haven't seen his performances this season but I do remember reading that he's still highly regarded at Man Utd. He's younger than Lammens too. A Premier League loan next season would be great, if he is up to it.

If we get into Europe then there will be games to go around. Bring him back as a number two who plays cup games and Europe like Fergie used to do and see how it goes.

Learning experience tonight. Feel like you need those more than the good performances as a young keeper.

At fault for Hull's 2nd goal yesterday. Might have been distracted by the squirrel who stopped play before that :)

I think another loan spell next season would be more beneficial to him than playing a handful of cup games.

Playing right now against Wrexham on Sky. Wearing a scrum cap like his compatriot Cech. Just headbutted his own defender.
