Radek Vítek | 2025/26 Performances | on loan to Bristol City

Hopefully he can get another loan move next season. It's clear from his quotes here that he would prefer to be playing rather than taking Bayindir's role.

Best all round. He’s showing a good progression. Next season, we would want him to make another step up again.

He wouldn’t benefit from being our no 2. Would want someone a bit more experienced for a no 2.

Would hope it is the same progression as with Henderson where a good Championship loan is followed by a loan in the Premier League. Will be hard to keep him long term if he proves he is PL ready and Lammens continues to develop too but that is the kind of nice to have problem that we have had far too infrequently in recent years.

MotM today apparently.
Kept a clean sheet despite facing 9 shots on target! Haven't seen the highlight reels yet but he seems to be going from strength to strength. Interesting to see how his next season shakes out as what' best for the squad/club is for him to be cup/backup keeper but what's best for him is to go out on loan, hopefully to a Europa League-level club at a top European league.

Roy Hodgson on Vitek after the game:
These last two games he's been fantastic. He's got a great temperament and a real dominance in the air. I'd be surprised if he didn't go back to Manchester United eventually and be there a very long time.

Their fans love him.
one position we've been blessed with over the years is in nets. and honestly this lad is still the best i've ever seen and i don't say that lightly.
He just has it. It's that simple. Everything you'd want from a keeper. Massive, imposing, confident, a talker (I sit right behind him and he never shuts up, even when we're in possession he's organising), comes for crosses, almost too comfortable on the ball at times. The biggest thing is his agility. Shouldn't be possible for a bloke his size to be so springy.
Spot on and I know what you mean by "springy" too. Like there's usually a trade off. "He's a big fecker, so he's slow getting down or getting out, he's a midget so he's great on the ball and rapid at sweeping and one on ones". Rad is both. Reflexes out of this world and how he gets down to both corners so fast but with that length feels like a cheat code. The save against Norwich is one I'll never forget. 12 yards out, flying into the bottom corner as close to the post as they come. Unsaveable as it gets. But he made it saveable. Insane talent.
i'd give a kidney to see him again next season because he'll be a proper, proper Champions League keeper for a long time.
Going straight to the top. With Courtois' injuries and age I could see him there or Barca or taking over for Neuer if Man Utd let him slip.
If he's actually that good, it'll be interesting to see what we do with him this summer. We'd need to be signing him to a new contract because he just signed a 1 year extension before the Bristol City loan.

Best thing would be a loan to one of the promoted clubs next season.

It’s a good problem to have.

I think we will go more down the City route with a sale and buy back if we can get a big enough fee. We need to keep increasing our player sales and the academy is going to be a big part of this over the next few years.
