Not! Ruben's caf account. Honest!
Cashing in on our talented young keeper after successful loans.
Hopefully we can include a buy back clause.
I’d be hoping for a similar fee to what City paid for Trafford (£27m). Certainly £20m+.
What a joke, if we were trying to sign this kid then we would be forced to pay 30-40m. A kid who had a brilliant season in the champion. Anything under 20 is a joke in this market. No chance we get anywhere near £15m, he's worth circa £10m if not less,

If he was a City player he'd be fetching around 25-30m, if he was a mid table club player (Palace, Everton) he'd likewise, also fetching 20m or upwards. I'd rather loan him another season to a better league than sell him for pocket change.

City sold Bazunu for £12m after he won POTY and Players POTY at Portsmouth & was capped internationally
Feels like maybe, finally, smarter people than your average to good caff poster is making these decisions at the club. If we put a sell on or buy back if we really believe in him he'll make us more in the future. Hopefully there's a bit of a bidding war and let's revisit his improvement at the start of the next few seasons
Yeah, I agree that a PL loan at one of the recently promoted teams or other lower table teams will double his value. It's an unnecessary sale unless we have a signing that we want/need to fund urgently, we have to extend his contract and find him an upper Championship or Lower end PL loan.I think we should be looking for at least 15m for him. Anything less, then we should probably look for a PL loan if possible. A (good) season as a regular in the PL he would become a full international for sure and would probably fetch in and around double that fee next summer.
Tell that to Onana!Lammens in no.1 for the long term.
He probably wants to play and has been told he's not getting a look in. I'm fairly sure any keeper coming back from a year of playing every week isn't going to want to come back and sit on the bench. It's the same reason Henderson left.
Stupid decision
Kelleher then, went last year for the same feeYou mean years ago?
Yeah, although we'd do well to get more money in now for the task we're about to embark upon. That being said, we should always include hefty sell-on clauses and, when we are talking about players who would get a chance here if it was just down to talent (and not someone occupying the spot) a buy-back clause too. As is, I don't see us pursuing a buy-back clause, given Lammen's age. And United is not Real, we don't buy back our players to sell them again for more profit. We have a hard enough task of selling players as is.
He doesn't want to sit on the benchIf we sell Vitek, it had better be because we're signing a backup keeper on a free.
If we sell him only to sign a new back up at a similar cost, then I don't get it. He looks like a decent keeper and certainly a step up from Altay, who also appears to be leaving (and rightly so).
I’m sure Onana has been told quite categorically he has no future at the club.Tell that to Onana!
It’s as much for the lads development as anything. He simply won’t get the game time at United with Lammens being young himself. If we sell Vitek, it had better be because we're signing a backup keeper on a free.

Because we should've looked for a loan to a Premier League club or another top 5 league if not. Why? He’s probably better than a number 2 and we’ve just signed a young number 1. Cash in and bring in a number 2 on a free or £1-2m.
Kelleher had international experience, first team experience at Liverpool in CL etcKelleher then, went last year for the same fee
Exactly, so expecting more for Vitek is not logicalKelleher had international experience, first team experience at Liverpool in CL etc

Firstly his value likely would've doubled and secondly it gives us more time to assess whether it's worth giving him a season to compete with Lammens.
His talent is scary and we are selling far too early.
Yeah we would, like Trafford when he went to City, but a club with the current standing if United or City aren't going to buy Vitek,What a joke, if we were trying to sign this kid then we would be forced to pay 30-40m. With a buy back clause!Yeah we would, like Trafford when he went to City, but a club with the current standing if United or City aren't going to buy Vitek,
It'll be either a newly promoted club or a strong Championship team, as that's his current level, for which £10/15m is the right amount.
If Arsenal wanted him for example then yes he would go for a lot more for sure.
