Rafael Leao

He was good like two years ago but he's dropped off since. Zero end product.

Zero end product is extremely false. He’s been generally 1 in 3 in terms of goals for years, and closer to 2 in 3 when coupled with assists.

Has all the tools but something about him, seems like he plays within himself, don’t think he has the drive we need. He would be unplayable if he put it all together but not sure he has the mentality and drive to do so

Bit meh for me, dawg. He's an okay forward option but he's not better than what we have.

I think he's better and physically more suited to the PL than Amad.. I feel Amad gets pushed around a bit too much and at 6ft 2 vs 5ft 8. Would love to have both and have that option should we face more physical opposition that Leao plays

Sort of player we'd have signed when Ed Woodward was around.

Leao is up there with some of the laziest players I've ever seen play, add to that he is of the character we have already shipped out or looking to ship out. He is the sort of player that we should avoid, hopefully this one is all agent noise

Why are we targeting average Serie A players?

The Villa flop Malen looks like a world beater in that league!

Can we please be linked to good, exciting players instead of bargain basement, middling Serie A pick and mix selections?

I might not want Tchouameni, but at least he is of a pedigree that makes you think we’re serious about becoming a force again. Poundland Rashford’s should not even be connected to us.

Checked his stats and he looked to have a few impressive seasons with 4 seasons in a row of goals and assists in the mid-teens before he dropped off big time this season.

Stay away.

I’m all for Rafael Leao in our current circumstances. I would liken a deal for him as similar to PSG signing Dembele, which they did at a similar age and with similar strengths and risks. What they both share is the confirmation of absolutely having the ability within them, and with Leao - the risk that his issues are as the result of injuries are not even there as with Dembele.

We need what Leao currently delivers every three games in our squad. If we think we can get it out of him more frequently, then for a low fee it is worth the risk in this market. We can’t get any top wingers.

The few times I watched him, he seemed like the lazy rashford, if he has become a hardworking player then would be more interesting otherwise we should simply keep rashford

What are his issues then as to why he seems to blow so hot and cold? If it's not ability then is it mentality? The people that watch him frequently all say his work rate is awful and that's in the Serie A so you'd imagine he'd get figured out way quicker in the prem. Is a 1 in 3 winger with very little defensive output worth the hassle? Surely there's a younger, hungrier and cheaper wage wise player out there?

Hes no lazier than rashford and for me more talented and pretty cheap....but thats not really a positive...hes very similar for me, fast, kick and rush winger, can play up front too, but form been all over the place for a while....but hes powerful so suits probably more.
Id much rather spend less money on someone like mateus mane or even jeremy monga personally....theres only one winger in serie a should be on our radar and thats yildiz

He has the strength of 3 Rashford's. But his end product is a bit average so not sure he'd be an upgrade on Cunha and Dorgu

Feel like he was ready for a big move the season Milan won the league but no one came in for him, maybe plateaued a bit since then as a result although his numbers are still good

I think he'd probably be the best rotation/depth option we could get though. We should be by no means paying big money for him, but he has an extremely unique skillset. I've likened him to Arnautovic, who would have been very handy.

Rumours yesterday were that he would be available for around £43mil. But we'd just be signing a Portuguese Rashford. So what's the point?

I don't think he's really a Portuguese rashford, aside from being quick and a left wing forward. They have different qualities. We'd certainly need a character reference to understand if he'd fit in with the group.

Absolutely not. Lots of talent, but no application.

I have no idea which top team would take him, he's a difficult player to handle, week in, week out.

There was once an elite talent in there, but I don’t think he came close to ever realising that.

I saw a tweet about how he’s dribbling and competing take-ons at like 30% of his best this year. Him and Milan have needed to cut ties for a while.

I just find it hard to find which club will take the risk that it’ll need to try and resuscitate his career.

And that's in Serie A.

Seems more like the players agent angling for a move. Not the profile of player we need.

A nothing player.

Milan fans would argue he's better than Kvaratshkelia.

He isn't. Even when he was in form, he would be very hot and cold.

They wouldn't as they currently can't wait to see the back of him.

Aside from that point (and not addressed at you) we should be insisting on hard work and talent from any front line recruitment not just the later.
