Depends how you define world class I suppose. He was clearly a level below the best right-backs in the world at the time in Cafu, Zanetti and Thuram.
I know what you are saying, but Nev would have got into all but 3 of the teams in the world during his prime. Just because players in certain positions are better doesn’t mean others aren’t world class. During a period, Ronaldo, Lewa, Benzema, Aguero, Suarez, Salah, Kane and Zlatan were all world class, that’s 8 players in one position… Griezmann, Cavani and Aubameyang would be considered by some as world class during that periods too.
Circa 2012/13 Xavi, Iniesta and Modric were better than Pirlo and Kroos. But the latter two were definitely world class.
