Whatever, every team get injuryes and we have a big squad. I dont want to hear injury excuses if we go on a bad run now from Ole.

Jones has just seen the bat signal and donning his cape now. We're all good all!
In all seriousness, Ole may have to go with Jones over Bailly. The concerns about Jones are all well-taken, but Bailly has hardly impressed over the last three years now...and I'm one of those who saw glimpses of greatness when Bailly joined United four or five seasons ago.

What ? Why Jones out of absolutely nowhere ?

Desperate times, desperate measures.

But if Bailly looks decent in training this week, of course we have to go with him -- and make all the appropriate sacrifices to the gods before the match. But the last few times we've seen him play for United, he's looked poor.

Playing Jones who hasn't had competitive football in ages over Bailly is a lot crazier than desperate

Am I right in thinking that Bailly and Lindelof had an absolutely woeful partnership and run of form that got Mourinho sacked mid-season?

It’s a few weeks … , injuries are part of the game I’m afraid and it’s annoying where the injury was caused but we should have enough cover to get us through especially if Maguire is back for the Liverpool game at the minimum

Nah, Bailly is twice the defender Jones is, even with the hair brained moments.

Lots of responsibility on Lindelof's shoulders this next few weeks.

Varane was our beta performing defender by far.

With the run coming up and our current form this could get real ugly for us and Ole

Win-win for Ole. If we go on a losing streak (god forbid) he'll have a valid excuse - Varane. If not - he's a hero.

Fecks sake. Awful timing this.

I hate international football at times.

Disaster really. The results in this run of games will be ugly.

I misread your post, sorry about that.

I'm not sure how anyone can make an argument that playing Lindelöf and Bailly going forward is not a problem however.
Sure but it happens to every team, and a couple weeks is not that bad. Maguire could be back vs Leicester as well. Almost every team we met up to this point has had their best player out as well. So i dont want to hear another excuse from Solskjaer.

I am curious. What other excuses have Ole given so far?

Solskjær hasn't ever excused anything has he? He argues situations and refs, but the players are never ever thrown under the bus, with good reason.

Fans are the ones that make excuses. Or rather, arguments. Like, I'm happy to make the argument that the players we have on the pitch matter to the point where you can't just swap out a part and have them perform at the same level as their counterparts.

We are a much weaker team without Varane. If we're not, why even buy him?

Don't know what player you have been watching but Bailly is just an awful defender. He strikes fear into the heart of every defender he plays with. Jones is a very decent CB when he is available.
