In my mind it felt like October was going to feel like an eternity. I actually came on here because I thought he was ahead of schedule.
It is a plus but I agree with him that Rashford's skillset doesn't bring what this team badly needs. His return won't solve the problems we have as opposed to say Scholes or Keane coming into this XI.But we’re struggling at that with and without Rashford, difference is, we’re also now even pretty shit at our main weapon, the counter.
So Marcus return is a huge plus however you look at it.
I honestly don’t think Scholes or Keane would make much difference, the pair of them though… well then you’d have a squad just making the tactics themselves. It is a plus but I agree with him that Rashford's skillset doesn't bring what this team badly needs. Don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of a United player. Just an excellent, balanced, compassionate human.Tweet

Just needs to prove himself on the field now and win us a trophyDon’t think I’ve ever been prouder of a United player. Just an excellent, balanced, compassionate human.
A treble would pale against what he’s currently achieved in life.Just needs to prove himself on the field now and win us a trophy
He has nearly 90 goals for us already, what is he supposed to be proving?Just needs to prove himself on the field now and win us a trophy
That would be extremely ironic. Will be a huge boost to have him back. Here's hoping he returns fired up and hungry.
yes, quite! That would be extremely ironic.
As a red A treble will be 100 times more important to me.A treble would pale against what he’s currently achieved in life.
So? Is that a bad thing when you consider what he’s done off the field? I’d say successfully campaigning to feed hundreds of thousands of children should always take higher credit than any sporting achievements. He’ll be more famous for what he’s done off the field than his actual profession.
No it’s great what’s he’s done off the field , I’m just saying he needs to concentrate on what’s happening on the field when he comes back .So? I’d rather his off field work took prescience personally. No it’s great what’s he’s done off the field , I’m just saying he needs to concentrate on what’s happening on the field when he comes back .
We’ll agree to disagreeI’d rather his off field work took prescience personally.
Do you really value your football club being successful ahead of impoverished children being fed? We’ll agree to disagree
Guys, I think he can achieve greatness on bothI’d rather his off field work took prescience personally.
He needs to have 50 millions of followers on instagram for a start. He has nearly 90 goals for us already, what is he supposed to be proving?
This. I like Rashford but he has to up his game if he wants to be automatic for United and especially England. With England he is behind Graelish, Sterling, Mount, Foden and Saka. Greenwood and Sancho could join that list in a matter of months. It’s pretty obvious he wont forget what he primarily is, and it’s good that he’s now got competition for places with Sancho, Greenwood and even Ronaldo now. I didn’t think he was that much challenged for his squad place at times which may have caused some complacency in his form, along with these injuries which he had been playing with for the best part of a year. In hindsight he should have binned off the Euros and got the surgery.
His off-field philanthropy doesnt involve him being actively involved in stuff every day. He undoubtedly has a PR team and another team who work on that, and he can make use of his platform to get messages out there. Hes not leaving morning training to go to meetings all day with public sector people every day.
Ok, but we still need titles. That is his job here. Doesn't have to be one or the otherA treble would pale against what he’s currently achieved in life.
I think that is very harsh. I don't think Rashford is behind that long list for England. If that were true he wouldn't even be taken to Euros, let alone get playtime. In reality he was played and that was despite him playing with injury. Best form Rashy is a massive player, at least as good as any of those you listed. In my book he is even better than most of themThis. I like Rashford but he has to up his game if he wants to be automatic for United and especially England. Whether it's related or not, I don't know. But his form properly nosedived in terms of performances last season and it seems to have coincided with his political stuff and feeding the kids.Rashford has never let his off the field work affect his performances on the pitch, he has always kept banging in the goals even when playing through various injuries. It's a really lazy way to have a pop at him suggesting he needs to stick to football, focus on his performances etc.
I think the Euros pointed to that all being true. If his injury was that bad they wouldn't have took him. He played most games for us iirc.I think that is very harsh. ...and his 2 chronic injuries.Whether it's related or not, I don't know. But his form properly nosedived in terms of performances last season and it seems to have coincided with his political stuff and feeding the kids.
If they were that bad he wouldn't be playing. As a pro player it is apparently rare that you okay without any knocks, niggles, injuries or pain....and his 2 chronic injuries.
They were quite bad though weren't they, he even said he was playing with pain.If they were that bad he wouldn't be playing. As a pro player it is apparently rare that you okay without any knocks, niggles, injuries or pain.
You see players have an injury that they play with until the next break when they get surgery. He even went to the Euros, the lack of urgency says it wasn't a severe injury. Or just plain stupid medical staff at United and England.
Has he, wow. would be perfect if he became clubs top goalscorerHe has nearly 90 goals for us already, what is he supposed to be proving?
I actually feel we badly needed his pace against Aston Vila and Everton. They ruthlessly went all out to press us without too much worry on our counter attack. It is a plus but I agree with him that Rashford's skillset doesn't bring what this team badly needs. His return won't solve the problems we have as opposed to say Scholes or Keane coming into this XI.
Ronaldo will be a lot more dangerous with Rashford as well.I actually feel we badly needed his pace against Aston Vila and Everton. They ruthlessly went all out to press us without too much worry on our counter attack.
