Should we sell or reintegrate Rashford to the United squad?

I still don't think there is genuine interest in Rashford from Barcelona... its one of those where he has forced those headlines.

I just dont see how he fits in that team, Flick wants hard working players and Rashford is the opposite.
Me neither. Diaz suits them far better.

They wont be able to afford him, which is the issue Barcelona have.

Liverpool will want 70-80m.. do Barca need another starting winger? Yamal and Raphinia are the starters.

Well, we can't sit there and hope Barca will come for him... we need to offload him to another club then.

Loaning him whilst paying most his salary has no benefit to us.
No one has shown interest.

If he had a shred of sense he’d get his agent back on the phone to Villa and beg them to bring him back.

If he gets this move to Barcelona then fair play to him; they’ve had worse in their front three over the years (Branthwaite; Depay). I just don’t see how he’s worth £40 million to them.

Rashford trying to get his brother to flog him to Barca reminds me of David Brent pressuring his agent to sort out an interview with Parkinson.

Why stop at 40? Asking price should be a billion pounds. No-one is paying either amount

Villa can't afford him. He's dug himself a pretty grim hole. He will go out on loan to Milan or Barcelona and be back with us next summer.

You’d think, given how much the media and some fans have been talking about how amazing he’s been at Villa, he’d have a long list of suitors and we’d have no problem getting decent money for him.

Surely any time now there’s will be clubs fighting over him…

Unless one of the Saudi clubs come in for him to parade him around in the Club World Cup.

Issue is that Rashford has shown no desire to go to Saudi. He wants to play for a top club, just none of them want him enough.

I don't think it's a club issue, more to do with the fact of his ambitions, expectations of how good he thinks he is. So is not willing to move to a smaller club, outside of Europe plus wage demands. Think he'd do well in Italy though.

I wouldn't put anything beyond them, like the guys they signed last year and took ages to register

Maybe not, but I wonder if they think they don't have much depth. But as much as there is plenty of chat from Rashford's side I'm not convinced Barca really want him.

Unfortunately we all know where it's headed.
Another highly subsidised loan for a couple of years before a free transfer / him retiring.

Imagine Rashford, Sancho and Casimero gone. The wage discussion would be so different. Then lets hope we never put ourself in that position again.

40M for an England international and no takers?

An England international who wasn't in the squad for the last tournament and has made just three appearances since 2023, two of which were against Latvia and Albania, the other being a 15 minute cameo in a friendly.

No way we can let Case go of we don't reinforce the CM which I doubt we will do this summer

We really should have sold him after his last good season. We need to be timing these things well. Now, it seems we can't sell him for anything reasonable at 27 years old. Something is out of whack.

It's made worse that he clearly has someone out of his depth representing him. I don't know why players hire their families as agents. Nothing seems to be moving on this front.

Imagination required. The first 2 on crappy loans. Case will see his contract out with United I think

I wouldn't mind keeping Casemiro. Having an experienced winner in the squad has its benefits, and he still has some qualities that are useful if used correctly. Obviously in an ideal world we would sell him to Saudi, but if it's choice between keeping him or loaning him out and paying a big chunk of his wages, I'd prefer to have him in the squad.

Rashford, Sancho - I think we have to get rid at all costs.

I would have kept him if we got Champions League, however without it he struggles with PL pace

Hope Saudi clubs take both Sancho, Rashford and Bayer-Leverkusen takes Mason, Antony.
One can dream, isnt it

We should genuinely accept anything over 10 million. Hes just a a massive drain and if his wages mean teams won't pay 40 then just reduce the fee to give them some room to negotiate with him. We need him out of the club 2 years ago

But with 350k p/w salary

Hasn't Rashford already said he'd take a significant paycut to join Barca?

Diaz would probably want a bump to leave Liverpool so I wouldn't imagine there'd be a whole lot of difference when it came down to wages.

He’ll be back.

When we’ve lost 4 of our first 6 games, we’ll see him and Sancho on as subs on the 70th minute….and we’ll watch them doing feck all for the following 20 mins

He might well be an England international, the problem is he is not very good when he plays for England, and is disinterested when he plays at club level.

He wants extortionate wages because United were stupid enough to pay a one dimensional pace merchant £350k a week as a reward for one decent season and he cannot see why he should give that up.

I tried to google and search through this forum, but what was the initialt reason for him to leave for Villa? Was it that Amorim didn't want him? Or that Rashford didn't like Amorim? So much have happend since so it's hard to remember.

But if we can't sell him, he must be a better alternative then Højlund? If he really doesn't want to stay, then he must be the one to accept a pay cut? All this things about loans and half payed wages and such always feel like a easy solution to don't have a grown up discussion.

Yet they still don't seem interested.

Diaz is on £55k/week. If Barca tripled his salary it would be about the same as Rashford taking a 50% pay cut..

If Diaz goes to Barca or stays at Liverpool, I can't see him on anything less than £150k a week. Liverpool can't be turning down offers from Barcelona and then refusing to put him on less wages than Robertson or Chiesa.

If Barca sign Rashford, I can't see them paying a huge amount more than £150k. Perhaps £180k or so but I really can't see them giving him £200k. He's already on a reduction at United and it's widely reported he's happy to agree a significant reduction to get that move.

It's very alarming that this has gone very very quiet. Villa? Barcelona? Turkey? Saudi? USA? Come on!

We've had supposed winners. BFS. Casemiro. Varane. Etc.

Didnt do us any good. No winning mentality imparted. No pride in the pitch we let half the teams walks over us.

Seen more passion from academy players than these lots
