Should we sell or reintegrate Rashford to the United squad?

It’s really not. You have put on a very positive spin. Even after that, tell me how many clubs can actually afford his wages? Forget about the fee for a second, who can afford his wages? Only a handful of clubs, right?
Let’s see, In the PL forget about city and Liverpool. Arsenal don’t want him, Chelsea don’t sign old players and are looking to sign Gittens. Newcastle have the likes of Gordon.
Now Europe, Madrid? Hahaha. Barca are broke. PSG have shifted their policy. The whole Serie A survives on loan. Bayern have no interest in Rashy. So tell me who can afford him and his wages?

Other than Saudi or a loan i see him going nowhere especially for a decent fee.
In my view we’ve put on a 40m price, so that a big portion of it goes to Rashford when he leaves, so that he can take a wagecut at a new club.

This is good for us (PSR purposes), for Rashford, and for the new club.

Wage is not a problem for other clubs. He still has 3 years left on his contract. Just take him on loan last day of the window and United pay 50% of his salary.

He wont be sold. No one will pick up him up for a decent transfer fee and pay his wages.

He, and Sancho, will be hanging around until late summer. Clubs will wait so they can have United pay more of his wages.

Let’s hope we’re learning a lesson about giving out mega contracts after one excellent season or for the big signings like Sancho/Sanchez.

I think if a player like Salah, Bruno or Palmer is putting in good performances/good numbers in successive seasons, even when their teams are struggling, then it’s a bit more flexible.

For Rashford the deadline is Monday 1st September when the window closes so he has ages to wait this out.

For United the ideal deadline is the departure date for the US Tour, but I would make it known to his team that no matter what happens he is not going. Any unwanted players should be kept away from the first team group.

Almost feels like having your brother or family member as your agent is a shit option to get deals done.

He shouldn't go to pre-season tour in USA. Anyway it's an open secret that Amorim want him gone.

Sancho can accompany in training with the under 21.

What about Antony and Garnacho?
There is no issue whatsoever with Antony attitude. Garnacho is always giving 110% in every game. The issue was he was not happy to be dropped but it's understandable. If he is not sold I think he can still play under Amorim.

After what he reportedly said to him, seems like a breakdown in relationship.

Yes but the key point is Garnacho is still willing to work hard and give 110% unlike Rashford and Sancho. Garnacho was sprinting up and down the left flank when given chance to play.

Best for all if he’s gone before the pre season. If he’s left behind , granted he’s not part of the squad but I’m sure he has a few mates there who wouldn’t be happy that he’s been left behind.

How would you know? Seemed to be shown the door pretty quickly when Amorim arrived, if I hadn't seen him stink the place up for 2 years I would almost be in the "he wasn't given a fair shot camp" and it can't be strictly lack of ability because we had Hojlund up front all season.

No he shouldn't, 2nd manager he's undermined get rid for a decent fee and get Mbeumo in.

I am absolutely intrigued as to how the Rashford situation evolves this summer compared to Grealish.
Both in similar situations
Underperforming at their clubs, vastly overpaid, with contracts for years

Yet apparently after the abysmal season Grealish has had, he is supposed to be linked with multiple PL sides...

City will pay him to leave. All off the books of course

That speaks volumes when a player who is second best is wanted by more clubs. Why? It’s simple he isn’t a cnut!

Unless Marcus agrees to a substantially reduced salary I don't see us getting anywhere near 40m. If he really wants to play for Barcelona it'll have to be more like 125/week with a transfer fee of around 25m at best.

Yeah can't see him taking that level of pay cut

I'm pretty sure most of these insane mega contracts were set up under the old management structure. I doubt we will see it going forwards.

At least the end is in sight with Sancho. Just 1 more season to loan him off for, then that's it done.

There's a real chance we have to loan Rashy out for 3 more seasons.

Although the 2 probably shouldn't be bracketed together. The contribution to the cause overall is pretty different. It's just that modern Rashy has Sancho'd up.

Yet barely a whisper in the media about what a dreadful signing overall he's been or how he's clearly not worked hard enough to force back into the team either.

The difference in the club winning loads I suppose!

But in theory a 100m signing should draw a load more scrutiny than a home grown player.

  1. There's barely ever a whisper about City in the media because no one cares.
  2. City can basically afford to eat the loss whereas we're multiple seasons deep into "United are skint" reporting.

40m in this day and age for a player of Rashford calibre should be getting interest all over Europe its his contract that’s the issue. If we want him gone we’ll have to pay him a ‘feck off’ fee to cover money lost nobody is paying him anywhere near his United contract

Him and Sancho raking in 500k a week between them is a massive issue

Him and Sancho is the same issue... whilst people think its just the contract issue, while that is true, their attitude is also a big issue.

Rashford puts himself into a pedestal thinking he is good enough for teams like Barca... when in reality he is not even wanted by Villa.

If a team really wants a player, they manage to get them in, on incentivised wages and what not.

The bottom line is, Chelsea valued Sancho at 150k a week and no one values Rashford to even propose a deal.

Yeah definitely got ideas above his station, in terms of Sancho we are the clowns for paying him so much

i thought the ceiling under ineos is now 200k a week. Like Chelsea rest is driven by performance bonus.

Lets be honest, we all know how much of clowns our old regime was..

Every decision they made on transfers and player contracts was driven by panic, its crazy how far they were allowed to go.

Its not just all the transfer fees we paying, its the contract renewals.

Shaw - 2 months form - 200k a week
Martial - 2 months form - 250k a week
Jones - 150k a week
Maguire - 200k a week
DDG - 350k a week (could be justified but was alot of money)

Those are some examples, as soon as players had a purple patch, a new bumper deal was agreed.

You look at us signing Dorgu, his wages are low.

We have now not signed anyone above 200k a week and the only player they have given 300k is Bruno because he has shown he deserves it by putting in performances.

Rashford bullied the club into giving him his contract and now and now the new regime is saying... we dont care, leave.

I was really hoping he would tear it up at Villa. He and Sancho are on 600k a week and we can't get rid for anything descent.

He still has like £45m left on his contract. This is a nightmare contract.
