Rashford

Should we sell or reintegrate Rashford to the United squad?

  1. There's barely ever a whisper about City in the media because no one cares.
  2. City can basically afford to eat the loss whereas we're multiple seasons deep into "United are skint" reporting.
Although in fairness people say if City fail with a signing they just make another.

Which we've done with wingers and centre backs repeatedly!

Hope the Barcelona interest is real and they are really trying to sign him. Hopefully 40M.
I dont know about you or other muppets but I havent heard a lot of noise around Barcelona recently. They are either very discreet and not leaking anything or they're skint.
There was some vague rumor about Diaz and Rashford like a month ago but the 85M for Diaz really seemed unrealistic and nothing since then. We know they're signing Joan Garcia for GK but the only other rumor I heard in recent weeks is Perisic, who is a LW like Rashford, albeit a totally different profile but that would probably mean they can't afford a better option.

He wont be sold. No one will pick up him up for a decent transfer fee and pay his wages.

He, and Sancho, will be hanging around until late summer. Clubs will wait so they can have United pay more of his wages.

I can't say I've ever given this much thought, but now I realise that footballers get paid after the season is over.

Gets overlooked very often this

I wish we were Oil rich just so we could garden leave these fkrs or put them with the under 16's. Paying them to play for other clubs is a joke. Or maybe send them to a lower league club say Bishop Auckland. They did us a solid after the Munich air disaster.

Barcelona are only interested in a loan. They don’t have much wriggle room, why would they pay serious money for a player that won’t start?

Yeah can't see him taking that level of pay cut

I don't see it either. And if we're both right about that -- that Rashford will refuse to take a haircut on his wages -- the wise move for him would be to eat humble pie and start performing on both sides of the ball at Old Trafford. That is, after he has walked into Amorim's office and apologized for his appalling behavior toward the club and begged for forgiveness.

Loan deals for three years straight would be a vastly greater embarrassment than being a squad man for us. Either way, his role as a top man for the England NT is in tatters.

We’d genuinely be better off chucking him and Sancho into the reserves for a year than loaning them and subsidising wages. This will keep happening while we let it happen. Fine them if they are unprofessional and break club rules. Ostracise them, but offer them a route back if they apologise and work hard. We can’t keep bending over for players that think they’re bigger than the club

So we keep them and pay their full wage and are better off how exactly?

Ya let’s pay them £400,000 a week to take a year out .

Its just going to be loans till his contract is up. Probably the same for Antony and Sancho.

Is the transfer window even officially open yet? Not kept up with when it opens/shuts read that it was open for a few days then closes for a few then opens back up for the summer? Seems pretty unnecessary/confusing.

As opposed to pay half of it to help him perform for another team? In the long run players will know that they need to respect the club and the manager and show professionalism or risk their career stalling.

Villa reportedly paid 75% of the 300k. That's Mbeumo's wage right there. If the -25% no CL stipulation is in effect he'd be on 225k a week. Still a hell of a lot of money but it's a little bit easier to stomach then the figures thrown around here, seen people say he's on 350k p/w. I think a few teams would take a punt on 200k a week if we could get it that low.

He is just really thick, he need to smell the coffee that Barca does not rate him much. They are willing to offer Money for Diaz and also now after Nico Williams once Bayern has entered the fray, they are just tagging him along to ensure if they don’t get any targets they will try to loan him in (win-win for them). He should for his own sake go to clubs where he is wanted and will be played so he can get into the England squad.

I think we need to become ruthless with all players we intend to sell. Enough of this pandering to these dumbwits, tell them if they don’t move we will let them rot in reserves for whole season. If they want to play in the World Cup, make a move to a club which is willing to pay, these loans offers we will not entertain. It will also send a strong signal to cheapskate clubs like Barca and Betis. How much we will save anyway by sharing their salaries with these clubs if we loan them out. We don’t even get loan fees as well.

This is gonna be a thread that hangs on till the last week of summer isn’t it
Out of interest, why did the Onana (out) thread get locked for now?

There's still active ones for Mainoo and Hojlund, despite us not knowing whether they're actually planning to be offloaded or not (same position as Onana).

And the Rashford, Sancho and Antony ones are still active despite no real links to clubs / movement on any clubs actively trying to buy them.

Yet the Onana one was the only one locked "until there are some proper links"?

Well there wasn’t any links at all to Onana being sold. It’s just wishful thinking posting.
I agree that the Mainoo thread should also be closed.
The others think there’s been enough links to justify keeping them open

Sancho will walk at the end of the season regardless and not give a toss. Always better to remove negative aspects from the club entirely, there's zero benefit in keeping them.

Oops, Barcelona suddenly is linked to Nico Williams, again. Not sure where Barca can find the money but this is not good for Rashford.

Kin ell we’re never going to shift these players. Think people have to understand the reality of the situation before hypothesising we’ll absolutely get around £125m+ for Garnacho, Rashford, Sancho and Hojlund

It’s more likely we’ll get around £60m from the sale of two of em, and the other two will hang round like a bad smell getting paid

You will get offers for Garnacho eventually, the rest probably just loan offers including Antony.

I was really hoping he would tear it up at Villa. He and Sancho are on 600k a week and we can't get rid for anything descent.
He was doing well then picked up that injury which finished his season annoyingly

I keep. hearing people say that mr wants to play because of his England ambitions
is he really that bothered

Tired after saying 'I told you so' for few years every time these type of contracts being handed down. Now I'm at a stage that let them milk the club as much as possible, the lesson has to be as hard as possible. We well and truly fecked and fully deserve the situation with Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, Anthoni and Hoijlund. The upper management absolutely learned nothing from Pogba and Sanzhez. Nightmare of mismanagement, worthy of investigation for money laundering.

Is he that low on wages that he can’t even get a haircut?

Nowhere, until LaLiga's final audit of their books. They're under threat of UEFA sanctions too
