Should we sell or reintegrate Rashford to the United squad?

So they can't sign Williams because they can't register players, but somehow they can sign Rashford who is on 350K a week or something? + costing 40M in transferfees..
They won't pay us a fee. The plan will be to force us to loan him while subsidising his wages

Wonder how he'd get on at Barca? Not convinced he's sorted his head out but maybe he can do that, could work out alright for everybody. I get that he's been bundled out of the club he supports and grew up in (he has some culpability - before someone gets triggered) but ending up at Barca would make it a lot easier to get over that's for sure.

Hope it happens...

I think it depends on how moving to a new culture and setting changes his social life. If he keeps going out on the piss, nothing will change. If he marks it as a new start and takes things seriously, he'll be incredible in that league. Just see what Antony looks like physically in la liga, Rashford will blow them away if he gets back into top physical shape.

The Nico Williams news is terrific, because not only does it bring Barca back into play, they’ll be embarrassed to have been snubbed. Barca and Real are both insufferably arrogant, and this kind of sleight usually forces them into some kind of desperate posturing. That’s why they spunked all the Neymar money so quickly and so badly.

I think they’ll want to get something done much quicker now, just to save face. Fingers crossed that something is Rashford.

Yes that too, but I was making similarities to the Norman Whiteside situation because it was before the success of Sir Alex with united, it was at a crucial time.
SAF became untouchable after the treble. Prior to it he was regarded as a decent manager with loads of cash burning in his pockets. It was not uncommon for him to face criticism. Clough in particular used to hate him. Having clough's shadow looming at you at the time wasn't nice. It would be like jose criticizing slot.

I'm salivating at the loan with an option to buy whilst we cover 90% of his wages offer that Barca will send through on the last day of the window. He either secures a permanent move or we let the fecker rot in the reserves. We've wasted plenty of money already, at least this way it'll act as a deterrent to other players in future.

Just read he’s deleted United from his Twitter bio. I’m not on there so can’t confirm but looked legit. Pretty damning if so - lad will have to force a move and maybe reduce wages.
Why is it "damning"?

Everybody and their dog knows we've actively been trying to move him on since the end of last year, and he is hopefully taking the hint?

He removed Manchester United player from his Instagram and Twitter bio. Like an 8 year old.
I mean is that really anything to be upset over?

All parties are currentlt working on an exit and he doesn't even have a shirt number/locker anymore

If anything, it confirms that we won't have him back which I assumed many would be happy about

I highly doubt it. It will likely end up us subsidizing his wages. In the first place how is Barca able to sign players when they cant register Nico Williams?
Nico would have cost them like 20m a year at a minimum

Rashford would cost no more than 10m and they should've already cleared that much space with Ansu Fati leaving

A great bit of fortune for the club that the 5 players (headlined by Marcus) that have asked to move on, also happen to be the 5 players that the club definitely didn’t want around anymore, under any circumstances.

You can’t buy that kind of luck

I’m really happy with the move by the club to make it untenable for these players. If they want to try their luck then at least they now know we’re not playing nicely anymore. Time to go.

Yeah I think it’s great. Whatever people’s thoughts are on Amorim and the system, this clean out is what we’ve needed for a long time, and relieved to see the club backing him on it even though it involved some short term pain.

Nobody wants to acknowledge this either, but hats off to Amorim for having the cajones to come in to United and try to steer the ship whilst this is all going on. It was clearly going to affect performances losing these players, and left us thin on the ground. Most other coaches would have thrown their toys out of the pram or walked. Instead he stayed and had took all the flak. I hope the club back him well as a reward, because he’s risked a lot for us in my opinion.

We're not out of it yet.

Unless it properly saves a lot on his wages just keep him.
Though still having 3 years left on his contract is so upsetting it's just not right.

We came 15th last year which could easily have been 17th. And have only brought in 1 player this summer.

We're very definitely still in the pain and it won't be "short term".

But sort of agree that aside!

Ha, I'm not upset at all, was just pointing out how childish that is.

Looking at that twitter picture makes you wonder why he could only jog around the pitch for us when he is in such great physical shape.

Come on, he absolutely cannot stay at this stage. If he is still here by the end of the window then he’ll be packed off on loan I reckon. And if that doesn’t happen, I think he’ll just barely ever get a game. The bridges are well and truly burnt.
