Hundreds? He's had 17. And re chance creation, Delap playing for Ipswich, who have about a third less xG than us this season has had over 3 times that many shots. End of the day if you rank 148th in the league for shots taken as the starting striker for a non-relegation team then you're probably the main problem.
Watched them both on the same pitch, and it's clear Delap's the superior player. But why go there? Just compare Hojlund to Obi vs. Fulham. Same team.
These were the stats vs. Fulham
Rasmus Hojlund Chido Obi
68 Minutes played 52
9 Touches 17
1 Shots taken 3
50% (2/4) Passes completed 80% (4/5)
0% (0/2) Dribbles completed 100% (2/2)
20% (1/5) Duels won 66% (4/6)
5 Possessions lost 6
Will never forget how Bassey bodied Hojlund (which I accepted fair enough since he's a unit), but then got ragdolled by Obi (which made me mad again). Some of those chances Obi had were not just because of his movement. I swear certain United fans are perma-stuck in the Liverpool-fan-circa-Dirk-Kuyt-best-defensive-winger phase.
Hojlund's just mediocre. Loan for amortization, and then sell at first opportunity.
