Out of confidence when it comes to shooting, but thought he was great overall in the build up and did the right runs. And topped it off by showing Dalot how to pass to a free player.

He's still a shite striker, but he left out his heart on the field.

I hope he doesn't stay this shite, and improve a lot.
Well, he wasn't shite today. He set up a goal, won a lot of duels and found himself in dangerous positions. Play like that and the goals will come. Much, much improved because he has been terrible for a long time.

He was far from a passenger tonight. Still needs to do a lot better shooting, but I can tolerate that if he’s actually causing problems and contributing to the team.

He was. We won't go much further if he stays like this.

A striker who can't score even if the ball is placed right in front. Bruno should let him take a penalty so he got a chance to score without anyone near him except a keeper in goal.

Found him a lot more today. Just a shame he didn't bag a goal. Did pretty much everything else tonight. Solid performance by Hojlund.

Just needs a goal off his shin or something and then the confidence will come right back.

Everything but the finish tonight. Hope he takes a lot of confidence from the performance, because he did really well.

So much better, got involved, showed his physicality and created an assist from his own good work. Hope he keeps putting in these types of performances and goals will come.

Nightmare for their defence tonight, wish he'd scored. Great assist and won the penalty, hope he carries it through to the next game.

Hojlund worked hard tonight but I was a bit worried at the end when neither him or Dorgu seemed to want the responsibility of the shot. As the striker, even if you miss you need to want to be taking shots. I remember when Fernando Torres started playing as a pseudo winger. It was not a sign of strength. I hope Hojlund can get his belief back soon. He did a lot well tonight but we will need a #9 scoring goals to win the Europa League.

Needs a couple goals as a confidence booster, but did some good things tonight including that cheeky skill to set up Dalot.

Good strikers performance, if he can do more of that and add a few goals, he'll be alright.

Him Redondo-ing his way to assist Dorgu brought back PTSD flashbacks of that loss to Real all those years ago.

I thought he did well.

His finishing was extremely poor but he influenced the play. He needs to do more to improve but he's definitely better in Europe where he has the physical advantages. He needs to translate this usefulness into the league if he has a future at United even on the bench.

Most people with eyes will disagree with him
I agree that he's been rubbish this season, but today he had a very good game. If he had scored it would've been a great game. Won duels, headers, stretched the defenders, got into scoring positions, had a great assist. Very good!

He looked confident again tonight. Which is baffling considering his last few months. They must be doing something right on the training pitch.

Best performance in a good while, needs more performances like that where he is involved and contributing. Was going he’d get a goal but from very early on he looked very different in terms of his attitude than we’ve seen recently.

Like many of our players he seems better and more confident in Europe, we need to work out how to transition this into the Premier league.

Good to see him look like he has woken up, much improved performance. Hopefully he continues on this trajectory because we need all the contributions we can get.

Huge improvement, only lacked the goal. But got in the right positions. If he keeps playing like that he will score plenty, but more importantly he'll be a big asset regardless.

Did a lot of things right. Looked understandably anxious when he actually got shots off, but his running and interplay was probably as good as we’ve seen this season.

Great all round game however clearly lacking confidence infront of goal and snatching at everything, he was striking the ball so well last season but everything is rushed in that final moment for him at the moment. Feel like it might take a break and a strong preseason to brush that off.

He needs to pick up a goal before the next round. Don't mind if Obi gets a load of minutes in the EPL to keep Rasmus fresh
