Pretty crap game again overall, but I don't really know what he could have done much differently for the two big chances.

First one he's been sent pretty wide on his weak foot, and made decent contact and got it on target. Second one is just the keeper gambling, throwing himself across the goalline and making a great save. I don't know what kind of different finish you'd realistically try.

Ruined his career by signing for United unfortunately. We had no business buying him and only him and giving him no time to adapt and learn. Just shoulder the entire attacking burden of a giant club already at its absolute worst. No one would’ve had a chance in his position and now he’s the whipping boy, as if the disjointed attack that doesn’t work anywhere else on the pitch is entirely down to him. Shame, thought he could’ve been great with the right development.

Had an open goal and still found the keeper. That kind of chance in the Europa cannot fall to him, needs benchec.

His hold-up play looks to have improved, everything else is still rubbish.

For who? Unless Bruno plays as a false 9, I think he starts until the end of the season

Apart from his lack of technique, his lack of fight has not been mentioned enough by our fans.

It is infuriating to see him doing those low speed half "presses" and refusing to committing himself in challenges. He also refuses to make obvious runs.

Those things kill our attacks

Poor, but at least he was involved and somewhat a threat which is a massive improvement on 90% of his games this season were he has been invisible and not a threat.

The basic ability just isn't there, it was evident last season that he would need huge improvement to be a long term option at this level, don't see it happening.

He'll be remembered in the same company as Bebe and Djemba Djemba. He belongs in the lower leagues

Easily the worst striker I’ve seen play for us regularly in my lifetime. At best he’s absolutely not suited to Premier League football and should be in a slower, less physical league.

He won a few tussles and brought people into play at times. He actually ran behind the defence once or twice, and should have done better with the volley on his right foot in the first half.

But, omg, even at his best he's a 3/10 striker. Missing from 3 yards out sums him up.

Not his worst performance as he was actually in the positions to miss a potential hat-trick. Whereas generally, he is completely anonymous and in the wrong place. But the lad is a brutal centre forward at this level. He shouldn't even be relied upon to be the second option next season as you need someone with some discerning ability and reliability to get you goals.

Needs a full second to decided what to do when he gets the ball at his feet. Compare him to actual clever players like Zirkzee or Amad who have already mapped out a plan of action before they get the ball or get moving as soon as they take a touch. Højlund might do well in Germany or Italy. I won't even mention his finishing.

He needs seconds because he never has full control of the ball. Few times this season he had a free run with the ball; it was pain to watch how he struggled with ball control during those runs.

I feel like it’s now only about how to extract most value from him, also considering FFP rules. If we don’t get any offers this summer, a loan is the next best option - at least we’ve seen with Antony that a seemingly hopeless player can rescue his image in a different league. But preference has to be to sell in the summer, if we can.

Funnily enough i remember a situation like this against Galatasaray in the champions league where he had a such a free run and his ball control looked miles better. He actually outpaced their CB while running with the ball andv calmly chipped the keeper. That player has all but dissappeared nowadays. No way that's the same Højlund.

Sympathy for him because being put as United's starting No.9 at 20 with very little experience or goals is just nuts in hindsight. Completely mad. I also think he can still have a good career.

But as we did at the end of last season, we need to drop him and go for a false 9.

Starting him against Spurs would be based on hope and nothing else at this stage.

The one that was yard out he should have hit it properly instead of lazily trying to poke it home. He could have laced it and he'd have scored.

He's got a perfectly good connection on it. The keeper has just gambled on throwing himself over to that side of the net before Hojlund has even made contact.

Sometimes a great save is just a great save, and this one was.

Maybe, but if he laces it rather than side foots it I think he'd get more purchase on the ball and more lift. Has to try and get under it more. Needs to be clinical for me

He needs a loan back to Italy.
See if he can score and get his value up and then cash in.

What happened to this guy? He wasn't exactly world class last season but he was levels above what he's managed this year.

This "he will benefit from being second choice next season", has there ever been a player benefiting from being benched? He is a lost cause and needs to be sold.

Confidence. It’s why selling him this summer makes no sense. Any stock broker will tell you that you don’t sell when it’s value is at its lowest.

It's nonsensical. I don't understand the reluctance some United fans have to simply getting rid of shit players, and managers for that matter. You'd think we owe these guys a living and must keep them for half a decade to make absolutely 100% certain they aren't good enough.

When has keeping hold of a player done us any favours? Forget stock brokers, perhaps learn from the numerous mistakes this club has made in recent years and sell early.

Look at the keeper and shoot in the other direction. Keeper gambled and sold himself
