Rasmus Hojlund | Napoli player

The striker plays a huge part in chances getting created. Both in creating chances for themselves, and in getting into the right positions at the right time to get on the end of passes/crosses. Zirkzee is poor at it and Hojlund last season was even worse. The rest of our attack (bar Amad) was malfunctioning, but the striker was the single biggest reason.

When you have arguably the most creative player in world football playing behind you, questions have to be asked when the striker never gets on the end of it. Especially when it's (in Hojlund's case) basically the one thing that he is supposed to be bringing to the table. Zirkzee at least does provide some other aspects and can play his part in creating chances for others, although hopefully he'll improve his actual goal threat this coming season.
First paragraph, truth. Both our strikers are terrible.
Second paragraph, extremely level of overrating. Big fish in a small pond, our Stevie G.

Bruno has a lot of faults. But when it comes to creating chances he clearly is one of the best around, as seen by him consistently ranking as one of the top chance creators in Europe, if not the top, almost every season. It's the one thing about him that surely can't be too debatable.

Not really. You're exaggerating his ability.

AC Milan are surveying Rasmus Hojlund and have requested information from Man United to assess the feasibility of the operation

Milan you have a future Serie A star there, dont let this opportunity go

Italian teams are the equivalent of tyre kickers when it comes to player transfers these days.

I will dance for joy, and sleep better all season knowing that I don’t have to look forward to watching Rasmus Hojlund lead the line for Manchester United on a Saturday.

Forza Milan.

I still think he will be here next season but I really hope he isn’t. These are the sort of transfers the club need to realise quickly to cut our losses on. I still think he can have a decent career back in Italy but it’s clear he simply cannot handle the pressure and scrutiny at United or the strength of the premier league.

Great that there is interest for Rasmus but you know their first offer are not going to sweep us off our feet.

I actually think he would do well in Italy and it becomes used as a source of ridicule for opposition fans similar to McTominay.

"Oh look another player United was ruining..." etc.

The thing is with Hojlund, if you look at the goals he's scored a lot of them have been absolute belters. Great instinctive finishes. There is a player in there but it's just not PL quality, certainly not United quality. I think playing in a less physical league he puts in 15-20 goals all comps.

I thought Ac Milan is broke? They don't have the money. They will sneak around to lowball us.

I’d still love to see him do well here, but in an ideal world as backup to a more experienced/veteran striker to take some of the pressure off and let him find his groove. Unfortunately we just don’t have the time or luxury at the moment.

They’re skint aren’t they? What sort of offer could they realistically make?

There’s no player in there.

Not exactly his style tbf.

Italian teams would be the likeliest ones interested in this guy though given his start at Atalanta.
He's the "father" of Fabrizio Romano, used to be super reliable.

But his links for Sancho, Rashford, Hojlund to Italian teams whilst there seems to be nothing is a bit suspect.

Milan may very well be interested; however, I fully expect Hojlund to dig his heels in and stay.

He is by far the worst player I have ever seen start consistently two seasons in a row at this club.

We have finished 8th and 15th two seasons in a row, our two lowest finishes Post-Fergie, with him as our starting striker.

The day he leaves will be up there with one of my happiest days as a United fan.

Wouldn't trust this guy to turn up at the right airport when we eventually move him on.

Headline: AC Milan inquire about Rasmus Hojlund

Reality: “No one in the office really believes Inter wanted him on loan, what’s the story?”

A loan next season where the team he goes to covers the wages and pays us a loan fee won't be a bad deal at all. If he can bang them in his value will definitely increase and with the he has time left on his contract it would allow us to command a fee in the region of gbp 40m+ for him. The striker market is very shallow and he would become a hot commodity if he can bang in 15+ goals for Milan or Inter.
