Good luck Rasmus. Hopefully they qualify for the UCL so we get another €44m next summer.

Wish him all the best. He should take some blame of course, but his development path here was not the one. The transfer fee too.

Conte should be able to turn him into a good striker.

I do have to reiterate, buying him after 9 goals in just 6 months of football for an extortionate amount is still baffling. Not sure what the club were thinking when he was so inexperienced.

Best of luck to him! He clearly loves the club but unfortunately he was brought in maybe a season or two too early and couldn't develop under the pressure/scrutiny. Hope he smashes it with McT in Naples!

Good luck Rasmus. Sad that it didn't click for you here.

Have a feeling he will do well in Italy.

All the best to him - seems a good lad all things considered, but it just didn't work out here.

Expect him to be a good-very good striker over the course of his career. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him bag 10-15 this season for Napoli.

Hopefully he does well at Napoli, if he cant get a few goals with KDB there to put them on a plate for him he really is in trouble.

Seemed a good lad and hope he does well - think Conte's football should suit him. Gets to learn off another former United wonder striker whilst getting outscored by another former United legend.

Very interested to see what Conte can do with him. Also curious to see how his technique is.

I think they're nailed on to win the league with the squad they've assembled. Hojland will do well here, be interesting to see what happens when Lukaku is back

Best of luck, I think he will do much better in a more settled team in a slower league. I'm quite surprised Napoli agreed to such a high fee for the obligation based on his performances last season though. It could work out well for them of course.

Kinda feel bad that it didn’t work out. Seemed like a decent kid that genuinely liked United.

I still remember his cameo vs Arsenal when he first came and he looked like he had the pieces to become a player.

Good luck to him

It was shocking. Everyone was saying well we need to sign someone, but at that price, odd we there were no other options out there.
Was that pre Ineos?

It’s only a loan, isn’t it? I’m guessing the idea is that if he does wonderful they will actually buy him.

Napoli are my Serie A team at this point. Hope they smash it and win another league and make it deep into the CL.

Not his fault that Arnold / ETH decided to quadruple Atalanta's 15 odd million punt on a kid from Strum Graz a year earlier after 20 league starts. Could alternate well as understudy to Lukaku when he returns, which is the role he should have had as a 20 year old joining us.

He wasn't good enough but he always gave 100%, he was always professional and when it was clear he was no longer wanted here he went pretty quickly.

Unlike a lot of the players we got rid of this summer I do genuinely hope he does well and not just because it would get us more money. Seems a decent lad.

Here's to hoping we don't live to regret this and he starts pumping Diego Forlan numbers when he left us. The majority of players that leave us tend to go on and do great. He deserves it as he works hard, and Sesko has put in similar performances in that role and has struggled to make an impact, so there's a chance it was the system more than the Rasmus' actual ability.

Even if he does, he wouldn't have done so by staying here in the current circumstances, so it's best for all parties involved. I think there's a decent player there and he'll go on to have a good career, but his move to Utd just came at the wrong time.

I wish him all the best. Of all the exits this summer, this cuts the most. I thought we really did him a dis-service but throwing him in the deep end with no support / structure. I'm pretty sure Conte will get a tune out of him.

He got 16 in his first season here, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 20 odd over there (with regular playing time).

Wish him well at Napoli. He didn't show enough here unfortunately but I do feel he was let down by the club also. With his lack of experience he should have had someone to share that role with rather than being chucked in immediately because his only competition was a crocked Martial. And then last year when it seemed clear to everyone that he needed some time out, he had to keep starting because there was nobody else except a kid.

He's been a true professional as well this summer. Sounds like he did all he could to stay and fight for his place until the last minute. Hopefully our paths cross again at some point and he can get a good reception from the Old Trafford crowd.

Also wish him all the best. Just can't forget how him and McTominay were in each others way here at United, arriving in the box.

Wasn't toxic, wasn't on big wages and did his best but didn't work out and he left to secure first team football, full respect and expect him to do well.

Finally!, was absolutely terrible during his 2nd season, I don't even know if it's a loan or a transfer, reading the title is just good enough for me, good riddance!.

Why would we regret it? He wasn't doing it here, and he wasn't suddenly going to start.

Wish him all the best, but absolutely the correct decision. The worst to ever do it. 14 league goals in two seasons as an undisputed regular starter - and half of those 14 goals came in an anomalous 6 game spell. Outside of that, was about 7 goals in about 60 league games I imagine, and not only that - never even looked like scoring either. He can have no complaints at all of being shipped out, it was clear some way through last season that he was done here.

If he does the business at Napoli - good for him. For our part, we have secured a fantastic deal of €50m for a player with 14 goals in two years. He apparently thinks he’s better than Sesko. That doesn’t mean he should have been kept, if that’s true all that would mean is that Sesko will be out the door in a couple of years too. We cannot keep bending the standard to meet poor players. The standard is the standard. You meet it or leave.

that is the most worrying part. nice kid though. tough break but he'll be fine in Napoli. Their pizza must be great.

If he wins Serie A then united are definitely cursed
