Great to see!
Always was a decent player. Our shit coach to blame.
When we have the worst wing backs in the league who can’t cross a ball in Dorgu and Dalot not entirely Hojlunds fault.I don't think it’s anything to do with the coaching. He’s just not cut out for the premier league.
Players actually. They would rather die than pass to him.Always was a decent player. Our shit coach to blame.

Aye, Sancho and Garnacho are tearing it up.All our ex players constantly scoring
That was after months and months of being ignored.Cause he couldn't control the ball to save his life.
He scored 10 PL goals without pens in his first season in the league as a 20 year old.I'd like to think he looked really good in Italy before we bought him.
So maybe this is just the league for him to thrive in, because sure as hell the Premiership wasn't.
Not at the age we brought him in no, but he will be after a couple of good years in Italy.I don't think it’s anything to do with the coaching. He’s just not cut out for the premier league.
Think this league suits him.Always was a decent player. Our shit coach to blame.

He had a horrible second season, but lets not pretend the talent was never there or that he never showed signs of being able to score in the PL.
Yeah, great attitude and seems like a nice guy. He deserves to succeed.Happy for him
Yeah, it's not a coincidence that the players who thrive upon leaving us do so away from the very difficult league we play in.Aye, Sancho and Garnacho are tearing it up.
That really is such a weird way to dismiss those goals, because all of them were still impactful. It’s not like he was scoring goals for 3-0 and 4-0 all the time.Let’s not also forget that six of those goals came in consecutive games in that season.
I don't understand why people try to downplay his first season with this idea that his goals 'came too close together'. Of course a young striker in a new league is likely to be inconsistent and streaky, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he scored a decent amount of goals that year.Lets not also forget that six of those goals came in consecutive games in that season.
Yes this was very good, but what happened before and afte made it look like a fluke event, rather than a true sign of his actual ability, which is why he scored only scored 8 other PL goals in 56 appearances.
He'd actually be a decent player to have around now if we could have afforded it, just to have that competition from another striker to see if he had more to offer.
Goals coming in batches is nothing new for strikers and especially not 20 year old strikers in their first season in a new league/country at the biggest club in the world. Scored 26 goals from 22 xG in two seasons for us at a very young age. I still think Hojlund's going to be a very good player but maybe never in the pemier league. We shall see on that one.Lets not also forget that six of those goals came in consecutive games in that season.

Don’t think similar output would’ve been considered “well” if he was still our player.Elanga is doing well.
Sesko scores his tap in yesterday and there are a load of comments on here about how it's great to have a striker who can do that because Hojlund never would have.He literally tapped in a rebound tonight and again was a bit average. He had a breakaway before his goal where he could have put De Bruyne through but he hit the first defender.
He's not really doing anything impressive at the moment. He works hard but still becomes isolated.
McTominay is also average this season. New formation has made him look the same midfielder as he was here.
Premier League tap ins are just much harder than Serie A tap insSesko scores his tap in yesterday and there are a load of comments on here about how it's great to have a striker who can do that because Hojlund never would have.
Hojlund scores a tap in the next day and meh, it's only a tap in.
Yeah, fair and good assessment. I read a piece (or listened to an interview perhaps - can’t recall) about Sesko during the summer when we were first linked with him a couple/few years back, but he decided it wasn’t the right time for such a big move and he needed time elsewhere to continue developing. Which I thought was actually a smart move/well advised move etc.People are too binary in their assessments. The differences at the top level of sport are quite small but make a massive difference. Rasmus was never a bad player, he was just a player that had certain weaknesses to his game that were ruthlessly exposed in the PL. He was also very young and shouldn’t have been our first line striker, the much tougher league combined with his relative inexperienced was always a tall order for him to succeed here.
He’s doing well in Italy but it is an easier league to play in. It’s a great place for him to continue to develop. If anything he came here a couple of years too early. I hope he does really well. Always thought he had a lot of potential.

What stupidity is this?
Are we simply discounting them? I mean Rooney was typically extremely streaky throughout almost his entire career.
I thought the patch of form was a indicator of what time and patience in the right setup might do for the kid in the future.
I didn’t expect a 20 goal first PL season, 10 for a lad just turned 19 and with a couple of patches of good form WAS a decent start however you wanna spin it now.
He scored 5 CL goal in 6 games between Sept-Nov.
He scored 7 goals in 6 PL games between December-February.
That’s not a bad run for a proper young lad thrust in the deep end, streaky for sure, but 2 proper streaks and kinda expected for someone his age.
I really thought it would just click for him but he seemed to get worse as his time went on at United…

Sesko is a good template for how Rasmus should’ve been developed. There are a lot of parallels.Yeah, fair and good assessment. I have lots of time for Hojlund and hope he continues smashing it. Whether he’ll ever turn into a class/great striker, remains to be seen as he has the talent. He just needs to continue developing and playing in an environment which suits his skillset as well.
Yeah, and even now - Sesko is still on the very young side to be leading the line for a big club.Sesko is a good template for how Rasmus should’ve been developed. There are a lot of parallels.
