I genuinely believe 90 is GOAT tier level. I think we have players who can achieve that level..but not this season? Surely.

Surely, GOATs should be around 98-100? Otherwise, what’s the point?

1. De Gea : 83 good-ish keeper capable of an odd brilliant performance
2. Dean Henderson: 78 decent
3. AWB: 81 20/20 tackling significantly boosts his overall rating
4. Luke Shaw: 87 very good. Not yet in the 90s, but if he keeps improving?
5. Lindelof: 78 distinctly average
6. Maguire: 85 that’s about the highest I can go for someone of his ability. Not sure if injury-prowess is included in the rating, but it should be noted nonetheless
7. Fred: 81 good specialist player who lacks all-round ability to step up
8. Mctominay: 80 the sheer amount of goals elevates him to the 80’s
9. Pogba: 87 90s in ability, mid-80s in performances
10. Bruno: 91 for his incredible productivity, even though he probably.
11. Martial: 82 only based on this season, he should be in the mid 80s otherwise
12. Rashford: 85 needs consistency
13. Cavani: 85 very good end of the season
14. Greenwood: 83 same as Cavani
15. Dan James: 74 yeah :(
16. Amad Diallo: 76 produced flashes of brilliance in most of his appearances. Still has a lot more of work to do before breaking into the starting line up though
17. Brandon Williams: 72 simply not good enough
18. Eric Bailly: 77 I’d love to see him start a few games in a row, a shame that that’s an impossible expectation
19. Phil Jones: 70 at this point the rating may as well be zero
20. Alex Telles: 78 could do something, I guess
21. Matic: 78 he’s actually has some uses still
22. Mata: 78 same
23. Tuanzebe: 78 should do better
24. Donny Van De Beek: 76 based on this season alone, he clearly is a better player than that
25. Shoretire: 75 the default rating would do at this point

Why are our players league one level players... :(

But I think this one is good indication of their overall, mainly on form and performance levels this season.

They're not. We've a decent squad which will compete for top 4 next year. We probably over performed a little in the league this year but were found out in Europe.

Looking at your scores, I can only imagine sides like City have 95s across the board, without being a particularly amazing team in historical terms. By those rankings you would have to go above 100 to rate great teams of years gone by.

Making players like De Gea 80+ rated on the back of their performances this year is ridiculous. With the clear deficiencies in his game, rating him 85 on current form means someone like Buffon or Schmeichel in their prime would need to be rated 120+.

If Pogba is 88 and Bailly is 81, then Iniesta would be 135 and Maldini 150.

High player abilities doesn't mean you're guaranteed to win titles. Other factors, such as form, tactics, fitness and chemistry comes to mind.

I think generally, PL level players should be rated above 80, particularly in top 6 sides.

To put De Gea, suddenly as 60 is just not realistic, at least for me.

EDIT:
I mean, to put into perspective, the best Malaysian player: Safawi Rashid, I'd rate him 64 at best, and he should be playing in league 1 as his highest level.
Giving rating to players, we should always take other factors such as how high their level of competition.

United finished 2nd, with form issues and fitness. Overall we should be mostly above 80.

It's not suddenly. You asked in your OP to rate players based on this seasons performances. To rate him higher, you are basing your rating on previous performances.

And my rankings weren't based on winning titles to be fair, but the individual attributes I broke each down to.

Look at someone like Wan-Bissaka - I've given him the very high rating he deserves for tackling, but I couldn't rate him higher for positioning or attacking.

It's not suddenly. You asked in your OP to rate players based on this seasons performances. To rate him higher, you are basing your rating on previous performances.
Yes, I didn't disagree, just having a laugh at how interesting I'm reading other posters evaluation.

I already agreed that your rating is based purely on performance/consistency this season, I'm not going to dispute that.

If this was actually reflective of our squad, we would’ve won the league at a canter. Anything above 85 is indisputably world class, anything above 90 is GOAT tier. We do not have 8 world class players & 4 GOAT level players in our squad

But De Gea is that kind of guy, when you're so mad at him, you want to face him off and fecking let it all out...but he seems too innocent. Sorry Amigo, next time.

And then you go back home and vent your anger in internet forum.

I am baffled as to what folks on this forum are seeing with regards to Pogba?
He either cannot be arsed or actually puts in a terrible performance in a good percentage of games yet he gets praise?
I don’t care how talented he is, these are the facts.

De Gea being rated so highly is madness. He's about a 77 nowadays.

95+ are goats for me. 90-95 are among best players on their positions in the world. 85-89 class players. 80-84 solid players. Under 80- dross. By my standards for United anyway.

Pogba and Bruno are world class. Shaw is top left back now. De Gea...i know that i overrate him but feck it; i am delusional towards him. Martial? I am sucker for skill. You have skill? That is extra 5 points for you. No skill? Minus 20 points. ( Sorry Scott and Dan) :wenger: .
