I think you are being too harsh on Rice, Kane and Trippier. They were playing regularly for a team that reached the final and you give them an average of 5,66

Kane was underperforming but he still scored 4 goals - Rice was good, not average. 7 for Rice maybe 6 for Kane and Tripper would be more correct.
Re Rice, that's fair given that England got to the final off the back of their defensive solidity.

But I just didn't see much from Kane especially in an attacking sense. Even with Luke Shaw in godmode, Kane didn't capitalize as much as I thought he would.

It was so close to being United wot won it... but all in all they can all hold their heads high I reckon.

Dalot - 6
Shaw - 9
Maguire - 9
Pogba - 8
McTominay - 6
Fernandes - 5
Lindelof - 8
James - 7
Sancho - 6

Erm, Varane? - 6

Dan James: 7/10

Won't include Rashford or Sancho as they hardly played.

Maguire had a better tournament than Pogba. Which is saying a lot, because Pogba was excellent.

Maguire: 8/10 - A proper leader of the best defence in the tournament. Would be a 9 had we not lost the final, reckon his confidence will have been knocked.

Lindelof: 7/10 - Did very well in the one game i remember him in.

Shaw: 9/10 - Emerged as one of the best left backs in the world. Loses a point for the same reason as Maguire.

McTominay: 5/10 - Looked like the only half decent player in a poor team. Still only half decent, mind.

Pogba: 8/10 - Played very well and showed everything about why he's so good, and yet so difficult to have in your team.

Bruno: 4/10 - blotted his copybook. Didn't perform well at all.

Rashford: 4/10 - barely played and will have had his confidence massively knocked by the penalty miss.

Sancho: 5/10 - played very well in the one game he did get. Then benched inexplicably and missed a penalty in the final. He and Rashford will need some building back up again.

Dan James: 5/10 - Same as McTominay really.

Why have you listed players that didn't play, some of which weren't even in their respective nation's squad?

Maguire: 9/10 - Considering he came back from an injury, fantastic, he led by example and seems like a future England captain.
Lindelof: 5/10 - Goal was his fault that cost Sweden?
Shaw: 10/10 - Incredible in every game he played, one of the best players in the tournament.
McTominay: 6/10 - Played some tough games, did well against England.
Pogba: 9/10 - Fantastic in every game, showed what he can do in a team that's built around him.
Bruno: 3/10 - Really disappointed, early talks were that he'd be player of the tournament but ended up being benched for Renato.
Rashford: 4/10 - Not his fault though, limited game time.
Sancho: 5/10 - One decent game, limited chances to show his worth.
Dan James: 7/10 - Solid contribution all around, one of Wales's best performers.

I think people are being harsh on McTominay. The news that he’s actually not a defender, or indeed a particularly defensive minded player, doesn’t seem to have reached the Scotland management.
