At what point in the transfer process do they start to roll out the “he’s not that great”, ”xyz is a better player” etc?

They've got a point - his conversational skills alone have almost certainly added another £20m to his price.

Turns out it's not just Pool fans who are good at talking up their squad - their player's are in on it too.

Coutiniho, Sterling, Suarez, Torres, Alonso all the latter have gone onto win trophies while those who stay win feck all. They’ve won 1 league cup in 11 years. No longer a big club.

I love that we still have the Milner quote about Liverpool needing to be more boring in the thread title at the same time they decide to sell Coutinho.

Love it. Poor defensively so they spunk a load of cash on a player who is not an out and out CB. Cr*p in defence, cr*p in midfield and now they sell their best player.

Hmmm not sure if Coutinho leaving is gonna be a good look for the league
Why? Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world, signing a player from a side that's happy if they finish 4th. It's not like they've taken de Bruyne from City or Hazard from Chelsea.

they're taking it well on the whole, no bitterness at all

...this fecker tried to sabotage our season one day before the start of the new season, missing games for us while faking injuries only to turn up and play for Brazil, now he has kicked up another storm and has sabotaged our season by fecking off in the middle of it.

If he had any ounce of respect for this club and fans he would of done a deal to join in the summer not feck off half way through.

Wishing him well... nah fecking do one with that bollocks.
Coutinho and his new club can both go and take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned.
Him being a lying little bitch and them being mega-thundercunts, it's just a perfect match.

Leaving halfway through the season has got to be a bitter pill to swallow for them.

Tis' alright when Van Dijk does it to Southampton, though.
Elite level players deserve to be at elite clubs, competing for League titles and the Champion's League.
Yes it's obvious I'm still talking about Coutinho.

Not really. If you want though, I can come back to you in a season or two once he has established himself at Barca and will be recognized as the best AM in the world. He would be already if roles were swapped and Coutinho was playing for Pep at City and De Bruyne at Liverpool.

As if Barca would make a bid around € 150M for an average long short merchant.

Im hoping you’re thread banned at least, feck off with your nonsense, “Best player in the league “

Seems they don’t give a shit if they benefit from a player doing this but obviously the worlds against them if its one of theirs leaving, numpties.

I think he has done well since the start of the season for them. Scored some good goals and made some assists.
He could have easily done feck all and sulked. They should thank him

Inevitable RAWK quote ahead:

The Guardian are saying the whole fee is £142m (£106m plus a further £36m). £26m in add ons are pretty much nailed on, so that's at least £132.

It’s still a bad deal because even in this fecked up market Lemar is worth about £50m. His numbers are nowhere near the level of player that £90m commands.

He’s the French Oxlade-Chamberlain.

A bad deal ffs

Liverpool fan on my Facebook calling him a spoilt brat but thanking him for knocking us out of a Europa spot (can't even remember that?). Bitter and mentioned us, inevitably.

So why has Van Dick signed for Liverpool?
