I think that's a wise place to put a bet next season - especially as he's an unknown to all PL opposition who will have to adapt to his play. The odds of us winning the league have inevitably tumbled - down from around 6-1/7-1 a few seasons ago to 2-1 now. First time we've had lower odds than City for quite a while.
I'm not a regular betting man but do like to have a cheeky flutter once in a while. I saw odds of 450-1 for us to win the quadruple, so I've stuck £25 on. It's a real long shot, but we've had 3 quadruple pushes in the last 4 seasons - one of which saw us only 2 games from winning everything. With a deeper and better squad and our injuries looking much better, I can see us going deep in all 4 competitions yet again, but this time not being scuppered by fatigue, injuries or being outplayed in games like PSG or Newcastle.
I genuinely don't think some people realise just how good Wirtz is, and the potential to be a transformative player in an already elite side. I think he's one of those rare 'multiplier' players that instantly elevates the quality, workrate, and desire of those around him - just like Suarez did when he joined. Add in Frimpong, Kerkez and any other additions we bring in, and we are going to seriously attack all 4 competitions next season, without the usual fear of City's dominance, recurring injuries, fatigue, and (hopefully) no dodgy decisions costing us trophies as we've had before.
So I've got over £10,000 riding on you Florian - don't let me down.
