RAWK Goes Into Lockdown 25/26 Shieldless Edition - £500m down the drain, the champions have dropped points again!

Surely Salah needs to get dropped for just one game to fire him up but who they got to play on the right? Frimpong maybe?

All yous c*nts were writing City off when they lost 2 on the bounce and calling Arsenal Stoke.
Get over yourselves.
I'm sure you were there the season after Bobs first title when we were 12th at Christmas? No you fecking weren't.
feck off.
The same whoppers on here saying we’d win 4-0, it’s staggering, almost as if they’ve never even watched us play this season. It’s bad, really bad. People saying bedwetters must be completely deluded, we look absolutely miles away from a decent, solid, coherent team. Every team
We play now will have confidence they can nick a couple of goals against us and get a win. Slot has plenty of credit for last season but he’s under serious pressure now. His in game management is nothing short of comical.
I think the title is gone
I was laughed at in the transfer thread when I said conceding two goals a game indicated that we should spend money on defenders rather than getting drunk on the idea of bullying a no mark club and spending £120m on another striker.
We didn’t deserve to lose that, but we’re leaking goals.

I actually think we did deserve it
The luck has gone, the defending is lame, the finishing is championship level. sick of this shit.

manc 100% did not deserve, that said.
Thing is United are shite

Bet your mortgage on Brighton beating them next week
Football can feck off. Frustrating to watch. Some individual stinker performances out there today. Slott needs to sit this squad down, tell them to sort it out and change it. I have no idea what the transfer plan was in the sunmer, because this js very disjointed.
It's obviously too early to concede the title seeing as it's October and we're just a few points off it, but when your rivals are playing like title contenders and you're not playing any better than Leeds United it just seems as though it's slipping away. What are we good at? What are we supposed to be doing?

We've arguably downgraded all the players we've bought in defense - backup keeper included. Isak looks like he doesn't fit and Ekitike looks a much better fit in this side. The tactics are atrocious. There are none. There is no plan. What are we even attempting? The subs are even weirder. At the moment the management team looks lost and have no answers to any of this.
Got some doubts about Slot now to be honest.
Absolutely shouldn't have lost, ridiculous. But also it's time to sort the shape, it's time for Slot to be bold.
Think he means *bald…

A disjointed mess throughout and so many players off it completely.

And to reiterate, losing to that shit. The only teams Amorim ever beats are relegation candidates or side’s down to ten men and we contrive to lose to them.
We've lost to what is not a very good football team at all. Which begs the question, how bad were we?

Dreadful performance, and I'm not sure how we change things to solve this. There seemed to be zero improvement from before the international break.
Imagine finishing with a midfield of Wirtz and Jones with Szoboszlai at right back. Wirtz did all right but tactics just went out the window. How do you allow one of Man Utds best headers of a ball a free header ffs.
Absolutely lost for words. Not sure how we are going to solve this.
What in the blue feck was that!?

From official Liverpool forums

120 m should score that, Ekitike probably would from what we’ve seen so far
Maguire has contributed more in an attacking sense than Wirtz, Salah and Isak combined
Slot all the way to blame for this.

I'm sorry.

But his starting lineup picks for this game were criminal.

Leaving your on-form players on the bench to instead play players who are struggling for form is just inexplicable and unforgiveable at this level.
No point getting reinforcements if he can't organise the one's he's already brought in.
Fecking Embarrassing. Slot the fecking rot. Learn to fecking defend first. Season Over. Arsholes will probably now win the double.
Utd are an awful side, but we are actually worse.

All that money spent and our star players are pitiful.

Also I did have doubts about Slot last year post Xmas. He won with Jurgen"s side but been given a golden ticket and can't get a tune. Why does he keep starting Isaac?

We are am absolute laughing stock. The new United.

fecking embarrassing losing to those mediocre kuntz today....Afraid we're down with em at the mo....Abysmal defensively at times......Gutted!.

Love the line in there saying that they've spent half a billion and it's made them worse.

Welcome to our world.

About time every single transfer wasn't absolutely perfect for them.

Never read this thread enough.... thought United fans were negative, some of those are wildin'

Isak’s thread:
Said it before, but Ekitike needs to be our first choice for the moment at least. Just looks the better player.
He was a bit disappointing, but probably because he had been built up as this goal scoring monster who was the final piece for invincibility.

Just seemed peripheral
Isak has been a fecking diaster signing so far.

Newcastle didn't just scam £130M from Liverpool, but hasn't been affected in the slighest negatively on the pitch thanks to Woltemade who hit the ground running in the Premier League.

Isak seems like someone who only looked good at Newcastle due to Eddie Howe's system & qulity service from Murphy.

Mo Salah thread:
Need to make his contract on month by month basis. He always drop his performance after he gets his contract
Any arab countries bidding for him at the end of the season and i think he goes.
There's absolutely no reason he should be playing at the moment beside his name.
Meh age comes for everyone. He is clearly at the tail end of his career, I completely understand why the club gave him the contract. However maybe we should have chased Olise rather than Isak once we landed Ekitike. The guy is in a similar position to Robertson last season. Still will have his moments but you can see his talent starting to fade. Again not sure he is massively helped by the reshuffling behind him and don't know why he is so wide all the time. He probably scores two if it was the same time last season. Mane and Firmino have left a while back life without Salah is approaching quickly, I just hope he can find his confidence in front of goal as he still is having moments in the game.
It's like playing with 10 men at the moment, he carries no goal threat at all.
With respect that's crap. Taking Konate into account it's 9 men.
Big money offer in the January window and he'll be sold imo. He's been a boss for us and the Jota death has hit him hard alongside losing his pace his finishing has gone to shit. It's sad to see but no one player can be bigger than the greater picture.
Done at the top level now. There's no use sugar coating it anymore.
Frimpong provided more threat than him. He shouldn’t be playing atm.

Love the line in there saying that they've spent half a billion and it's made them worse.

Welcome to our world.

About time every single transfer wasn't absolutely perfect for them.

It's a long road too when they are paying over the odds for players. With that comes massive wages. This summer may become a slippery slope for them

If we’d signed Wirtz and Isak for those eye watering sums the club would be getting pelters from the media right now. Liverpool are the most protected club in the league, it’s an absolute joke! Not as big a joke as Florian Wirtz right enough. :)

I don't know if it's so much that they're protected, they're just nto as big a story as United. Huge club, but still in Unite'ds shadow in terms of attention and scrutiny.

As a sidenote, how annoying to have Gary Neville screeching on the commentary for an injury time winner, am I watching Sky Sports or MUTV, I could have throttled the c*nt
:lmao
Yup. We can have concerns about the performance, our ability to defend set-pieces, etc. But ultimately Michael Oliver has made an absolute game-changing decision that has no connection to how football is refereed 99.99% of the time. And everything else in the game flowed from that.

Referees usually show - rightly - huge amounts of caution around head injuries, to the point where it's often exploited by players once or twice every single game to disrupt opposition attacks.

And yet we're supposed to believe that when Mac Allister drops to the ground holding his head, and the play continues him lying on the floor, Oliver looks at that area of the pitch and simply doesn't clock that he's there?

It's utterly farcical, and yet they have no choice but to peddle that narrative, because the alternative is that Oliver decided not to blow the whistle, which everyone knows is not actually an option if you're refereeing the game properly.
Cry more.. refs suck Liverpool off 24/7.

I see a lot of people saying they aren't even bothered about the result. Wish I felt the same way. Of all the teams I hate losing against, it's this lot. At home as well. And they aren't even a good side. I'm fuming.
>:(
We need to stop picking the same players who aren’t cutting it…

Mamardashvili

Frimpong
Konate
Gomez
Virgil
Robertson

Gravenberch
Soboz

Wirtz
Ekitike
Chiesa

Play that midweek and see what happens

Salah, Macca, Kerkez and Isak have done nothing to suggest they automatically start…
This guy wants 343 after being outclassed by Ruben’s tactical genius.

Felt like we got too embroiled in the heat of the moment with so many brain dead passages of play. We needed cool, calm heads but it all seemed too chaotic. Even simple things like clearing the ball. The centre halves and central midfielders kept playing head tennis when there was nobody in yards of them. Why was there no shouts of time or taking the ball down instinctively. We played into their hands.

That said, we had enough chances and that gakpo header was a shocker.
Isak looks like the wrong purchase of the century.
The system is terrible, but sure let’s just use individual player’s performance as an excuse. We can all see it, it’s terrible to watch. It’s Brendan Rodger’s 2.0 this season. I think most sane people are hoping Slot will see sense and revert back to last season’s playing style.
Still. I’m sure the inevitable early goal we’ll concede in Frankfurt midweek will give the players the “kick up the backside” they need!
;D
Liverpool (3.20) 1-2 (1.34) Man Utd

Get in!!
:champ
:champ
xG champions, taken Ruben’s trophy.

I genuinely think the title is gone. It’s not the points difference, it’s the way we are playing.

We looks absolutely clueless and also looks like the manager has no idea how to rectify it.
Slot needs to seriously stop going on about teams playing with a low-block. You are managing an elite team, what the hell do you expect?
Their first away win in 7 months fecking hell.

I am now hoping that nobody will ever ever underestimate this fixture again.
First time Amiron has won back to back matches in PL
‘Amiron’ made me laugh.

They should sell Salah for 100m asap and reinvest.
This is the most annoying thing. They will still be blue to shift Salah for a hefty fee, unlike when we’re lumbered with a white elephant and fund the next rebuild.

I hear they spent the last of the Coutinho money with the Isak purchase.

Surely buyers would be watching him and thinking he’s not worth that sort of money now?! We can hope at least!

The league is poor. He doesn’t need to be PL standard. A PL legend from Egypt - exactly what they would love and will likely pay a big premium for it.

What we should hope for is that Liverpool want his wages off the books and desperate to move him on.

Nah he’s a Saudi prince’s wet dream even if he’s being pushed around in a wheelchair.
Expect Liverpool to get £100m+ for him whenever they want.

who gives a feck if they get 100m for salah, they're gonna be absolute pish without him

they just spunked like three times that and made themselves worse

I personally saw this coming. I was saying at the end of last season and at the start of this that their defence was too easy to get at and Slot didn't seem to know how to fix it. Absolutely drinking in the Dipper panic and tears. Literally all Dippers were telling me they weren't worried and their crap end of last season was because they were on the beach.

Massive by us. Most importing thing we can do when we aren't very good is make to harder for Liverpool to win the league

Is there any update from the guy with the sick cat from the other week?

Ah feck that... 4 in a bloody row, that doesn't happen to us! and breaking their hoodo on 2 consecutive games, first away win in donkeys, and we are in 4th...a couple of points only away from this shower...and it happened at home!
ekitike made an impression when he came on, but that was it really...crap we were again. why can't we string consecutive passes together? And even though Konate was much improved, every time he got the ball the game deflated and you're waiting 2 minutes for a forward pass...
Sort it out Slot
Missing chances and being soft as butter at the back is not a good combination. We seem to have become a team of 11 attackers and zero defenders. Teams just seem to need 2 chances against us and they score. We have lots of the ball but don’t create enough. Today was pathetic…..United hardly touched the ball for 70 minutes yet scored a goal in that period
I've been critical of Wirtz so far, but seed to me when he came on that no one else was on his wavelength. The rest need to learn to play to his strengths.

My Da used to say that about Jimmy Melia.
Because we are Liverpool and thinking about the title is all I've ever known (apart from the Hodgson abomination). Giving up on the title with 30 games to go is another story.
Who’s giving up? But just take it from game to game, who knows what it will be like by Christmas. We could look completely better, Arsenal's set pieces could have stopped going in, City could have been thrown out of the league. It's just nine games.
:lmao

Thank you

Needed something to lighten the mood

That is a genuine RAWK all timer
Bring back Heitinga

Yeah that's what the Ajax fans want too.
Give over. They are possibly the worst Man Utd team ever assembled. They’re a fecking laughing stock

And yet we’ve failed to beat them in the last 3 Anfield games.
John Gibbons
@johngibbonsblog
He didn’t have to spend the last fortnight in Dubai when he had first team players at the training ground and then just pick the same team (that he changed last time at half time) because he’d been too busy to having a nice time to think about anything different

Seen a few people mentioning this and now Anfield Wrap saying this too. John saying Slot hA underestimated how big a job is at Liverpool as he is always away on hols.

Wondered how long it would take the club to start briefing against Slot.
#SlotOut?
Kerkez.. Technically he really struggles. I genuinely dont think he can lift his head until the ball is under his control.
Genuinely one of the worst performances from a Liverpool player I can remember from Kerkez. Nightmare day and I genuinely felt sorry for him. He's not comfortable at all doing what the manager wants him to do but regardless of that it was one of those days where everything went wrong for him.
Kerkez reminds me of Alberto Moreno at his least effective so far.
High praise…
He's the Nunez of leftbacks.

Looks like this year could be "their year" again. The drop-off couldn't come at a more perfect timing according to our olde' Scouse boom bust chart:

Something that winds me up a bit about the big man is that he always seems to be complaining and pointing the finger at others. I get it is partly his job as captain, but it often seems a bit excessive. Not sure if that's just me.
Disappointed in him today

Shocking for that first then he just spent the game shaking his head, not a captains performance and giving tips and help, just side eyes and shaking his head with disappointment

Yeah that moment with Kerkez when he hit the ball in his face was disappointing for me. VVD failed to deal with properly then tells Kerkez to communicate as if it’s his fault.

You can see he doesn’t yet enjoy playing with Kerkez.
He's probably had worse games for us but I can't recall them. Thought he was a soft, lazy arse when we needed the collosus from August and before that.

I suspect his head might be burnt out babysitting Kerkez, and there's far too much space in front of him, but he still should have played much better today.
He knows he's allowed to make tackles right?
Careful mate they’ll delete this post. Can’t criticize the best defender in the league like that.

Predicted they'd struggle this year after Isak signed, I also feel like this will set them back years after their spend.

Genuinely baffling how they sign Ekitike then still sign Isak.

I wonder what will give at the end of the season, I kind of feel like Salah will be forced out which is really sad for all he's done.

Should have walked at the end of the season.
