They have the face to say they are unlucky? They had enormous luck...last match vs newcastle, they scored from a non existant freekick!!

They'll have a petition floating around requesting/demanding the FA give them a commemorative "most ever points for a runner-up/would be champions xx times out of xx years" trophy.

Or "More points than Fergie in a single season" trophy

Who would ever have envisioned in December this thread would be what it is just mere days before the end of the season? Truly a gift for us in the morass that is the end of our season.

As Klopp said we are like Rocky Balboa. He lost his first title fight. But he came back and then won the title.

So what if Liverpool draw 4 - 4?

If any clubs finish with the same number of points, their position in the Premier League table is determined by goal difference, then the number of goals scored. If the teams still cannot be separated, they will be awarded the same position in the table.
There must be some extra rule, but it isn't on the official premier league homepage as far as I can tell.

Edit:
Actually, no there isn't: https://pulse-static-files.s3.amazo...-d212cbf68ce7/PL_Handbook_2018-19_Digital.pdf

The official rule is trial by combat if the teams can't be separated. Each manager picks a player from their squad to compete in a fight to the death.

Luck alone got Liverpool atleast a good 8-9 points. They are an 85 point side overachieving just a bit to hit 97, and next season will probably reflect that better.

I predict standing ovations from their fans even if They dont win the league after the last match. And poems on RAWK, a lot of poems.

Assuming this makes it all even (not looked), they said on tv recently there's a playoff, and Klopp said it would be a fitting end to the season apparently.
Rules for classification: 1) Points; 2) Goal difference; 3) Goals scored; 4) Play-offs (only if needed to decide champion, teams for relegation or teams for UEFA competitions).

According to wikipedia.
Why isn't "Head-to-head points" used at all?
