We are at our lowest ebb since the 80's and still have won far more trophies in the last 10 years than these lot
I don’t know about that. There’s still room to sink lower. Why you hired an inexperienced mgr so soon is the issue you might regret for a few seasons. I think you are going to bottom out a little more with no European Cup fixtures next season. The sport has changed with these spoiled players. They want to be in the competition and be recognized. I just don’t think your brand is no longer an automatic sell to these type of players. Add Ole to the mix and it’s even worse. Your organization should have waited till summer to get a proper mgr worth your name.

It actually does, if you think about it.

More to the post you've quoted, you don't hit 97 points in a season without being an exceptional team. Playing hypotheticals, who would you say is the better team? This Liverpool side, or the title winning Leicester side?
A lot of Pool fans seem to think their 97 points automatically makes them better than all past title winning sides who reached lesser totals. Which is utter insanity.

Ladies and gentleman, we have our own RAWK poster.
How long will he last, any bets?
He is a WUM. Best team the league has seen *vomits*. More like the luckiest team the league has witnessed

Ask Leicester fans if they would swap the PL title for 97 points and finishing 2nd.

It's like you're doing really well with this lass you really like, slow and steady, getting to know her, letting her get to know you, saying all the right things, not being a knob, everything going really well...and then at the last minute some flash twat with a billion dollar face and doped up pecs cuts in and leaves with the girl.
Why are they obsessed with weird, relationship-centred analogies?

Still haven't won a fecking bean since 2012 (or a major one since 2006), but yes they are creating a dynasty or something.

They do this with their 08/09 team already! As if picking that team and just slotting it into any one random PL season actually means something. Bizarre.

"Imagine what our 08/09 team would've done in the league this year, la. We'd have walked it, la!"

Leicester won the title. That's all anyone will remember down the line. If Liverpool miss out, no one will think, "och, they were close"

We are the current premier league runners up champions. These are about to steal our '2nd to city' crown
Pushed it just that little bit closer than we did though.

Although if we'd had at least 3 teams give away goals in the 90th min, maybe we would have too!

Never.

But it'd be like pure evil scripting for them to get 97, and know that that ONE game v City stopped them winning the title, being invincible, and getting 100 points

Awww, damn. Would have liked to see where he went from that post. It was a quality wum, to throw that post down within his first 15 on the forum spoke volumes about him.

No one would care about this Liverpool side if they finished second. It will be just a trivia question or part of some obscure best title losing teams. Pellegrini's Madrid raked up a ridiculous point total losing to Pep's Barca too. No one cares about that team. Not arguing that this Liverpool team deserves accolades but if they don't win the title, they will be forgotten pretty quickly.

Both clubs (City and Pool) are turning this season into something special, something we haven't witnessed before. Yes, we've had Utd and Arsenal fighting top spot before, we've had Utd and City too, Utd and Chelsea in a 2 horse race, but this season City and us are taking this to a whole different level.

At the end of this remarkable season, BOTH clubs will be seen as massive winners, whoever pips the other to the title. There are no losers this time round, even if we win and City don't. The sheer number of points between us, the fact that neither team have hardly lost any games, the leaders interchanging every week, this is looking like the start of something new. A new dynasty, a new 2 horse race era, between the 2 best teams the PL has ever seen. Pep and Klopp were doing this in Germany many years ago, and now they've brought it to the PL, and taken it to a whole new level.

They are two titans in sport, on the start of a new rivalry, who have mutual respect for each other - like Federer v Nadal, Ali v Frazier, McEnroe v Borg, Palmer v Nicklaus, etc.

Couple this with City's other trophies they'll likely bag, Liverpool in another successive CL semi final (we still may even win it), and both teams are becoming untouchable to the rest of the PL, who can only look on and watch in envy.

This time round there are only winners, no losers, whoever pips the other by one point.
 was this the clown who give himself a klopp makeover and said it improved his sex life ?

Are you talking about the sex, or his time on the Caf?

I fundamentally disagree with the mindset that anything but first is last and inconsequential. If that's your framework then I think it's silly and reductionist, and we probably won't find common ground.

Yep. I remember thinking after that game that it could prove pivotal, but to nowhere near the extent it could prove to be.

Disagree. For example, I remember Chelsea's 13/14 season very well, all those clean sheets against the top 6, winning at City and Liverpool without having a really good striker. Their title-winning season that followed? Not so much.
