fecking bored of this now, we’re shit...
Really poor 2nd half. We stopped pressing and our midfield were in hiding........only Milner tried. Standing miles off them, not closing down and strolling around. That’s almost the worst half that I have seen us play.
Are we going to be the Super League's whipping boys?
We've just played CL a few days ago (a game we looked tired in). Up against a Bielsa team who haven't played for 9 days. They were sharper second half, but the game management was pathetic.

We really aren't a team that can see out a 1-0.
There is not a single redeeming feature to that midfield.
Be a bit mad if we decide to spend 18 million on Kabak like.
After a really positive first half, that was a truly horrid second half. Robbo can't make a basic pass in the final third anymore, always breaks down. Gini magnificently ineffective again but no threat of being taken off. Sigh...
Felt sorry for Milner 2nd half. Midfield non existent, Thiago jeez the guy can't tackle can he?
Absolutely threw away 3 pts.
Leeds deserved it but frankly, who cares? What even is this club at this point in time? Oh, we might miss out on the champions league - does it even matter anymore?
We were utter wank 2nd half. Thank God we don't have to worry about qualifying for the CL any more. Shite defending from the corner, neither Kabak or Firmino even jumped for the ball.

The 3 on 2 that Robbo blew was absolutely criminal.
That second half was an absolute disgrace.

When has Ox as a sub ever worked? Even more so out wide?
They seem to have turned on their brazilian porn guy
I’d rather have Keita starting over him(Wijnaldum) at this point. Even Shaqiri or Oxlade-Chamberlain would add more. It’s mental that he’s starting every game despite offering nothing every game.
Didn't realise he(Gini) was even playing.
Can someone let our midfield know that winning second balls is an actual fecking thing.
Amazed he keeps getting games.
Gini had a shocker there...
Not joking, I completely forgot Gini was playing in the 2nd half. He’s been god awful for the majority of a year now.
These ones seems to be in touch with reality. A rare thing for RAWK
Yep it was shite.

Dunno what people think will happen when VVD and Gomez are back next season. Are they going to score us the goals that we’re missing??
Good first half, shite second half. Leeds carved us open to easy too many times, good job they are just as shite infront of goal as we are.
Got what we deserved

We're not very good at passing the ball anymore. Will always give the other team a chance.
I know he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes and seems to get pelters every time he plays, but what the feck was Ox doing for their goal?

He didn't move. His feet never left the ground. fecking pathetic.
par for course

most predictable comeback you'll ever see, was coming all second half and for some bizarre reason a group of 11 professional footballers couldn't get hold of the football for 45 mins

pathetic
They just destroyed us that 2nd half. Should have lost 3-1 or something like that. Our midfield might as well as not even existed after half time, they were just out on their legs and could barely contest anything. How do you not make one sub in that area the whole game against Leeds? Robbo needs to just sit for a while to boot. My goodness.....
That 2nd half performance was shocking and I definitely wasn't expecting that performance. I can't remember Gini having any sort of involvement at all in the half. Not sure how he managed to escape getting subbed.

No one was willing to risk the leeds press in the second half so we resorted to trying to win 50/50 clearances up the pitch. Time and time again the ball came back at us and it was only a matter of time that they scored.
Mane and Jota coming off just handed it to them

Firminho should have been better heading their goal away
Didn't realise how little I would be bothered until I had no reaction to the Leeds goal. I'm gutted, but not because of anything to do with the game.
Shocking second half .. garbage
Lack of smiles is the reason why they are shite
Wow, we have fallen so far.
Absolute no harmony in the team, Mane can't even break a smile when he eventually scores.
Mane has historicaly been one of our happiest players, he's like an undertaker now. Robertson literally has forgotten how to make a pass in the opposition box, kabak not good enough.
Remember when thiago was the bestest ever signing
With the caveat that the whole game felt surreal - a bit like the Atletico game in the middle of a pandemic last season - that was very frustrating.

I don't really understand what Thiago brings. Cheap free-kicks and when the pressure came on in the second half "the controller" couldn't get a foot on the ball. It's a minor thing but he let the Leeds player buy the corner they equalised from so easily.

I don't think I'll stick around to watch Klopp be tormented by the post-match interviewers, he deserves far, far better than this mess FSG have dropped him into.
Wijnaldum with 16 passes all match, Alisson had 25.
Thiago got dropped the last few games, yet Wijnaldum hasn't tried a leg for months.
Be a bit mad if we decide to spend 18 million on Kabak like.
A defender who couldn't head a ball. We were conned.
Shocking second half. Milner the only player who can hold his head high as no one else seemed bothered.
First half alright, Sadio getting his drought SORTED was nice

Thiago started alright

Wij - out, son, you don't care any more

Mo came on and tried

Second half - shrug

Just who the heck does Neville think he is? How can he attack The Anthem, attack The Kop, attack Kloop? People have short memories, people forget everything we have done for the Premier League-
  • The best XI to grace the league in its history (2018-present)
  • Brought the most loyal fans and the highest number of fans to the PL
  • Integrity throughout
  • Pioneered the “fan first” ownership model in the modern age
  • Caring owners
How can anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together (i.e not The Fighting Cock, Arsenalmania, Bluemoon, Redcafe,) listen to the words of Jeurgen and James last night and think Liverpool are pro the ESL? The ESL was inevitable. The greed at the other big clubs knows no bounds. It is clear however, that we are not the instigators, we are not the ring leaders, we are the infiltrators.

This proposal was happening whether we liked it or not. We could have sat on our hands and waved our willies in annoyance to look good in the media like some of the oil clubs (Bayern, PSG) and then inevitably join at a later date when the hullabaloo dies down but we did not. We joined so we could learn all about the plans and take the ESL down from the inside.

Liverpool will return the game to the masses. Liverpool will be the saviours of football (again.) But will we be deified as we deserve? Will we be thanked? No. We will get hounded, we will get disrespected, we will get punished. We will get rats (Neville) taking potshots at us whilst simultaneously trying to sound like one of us.

WE ARE LIVERPOOL.

We will be waiting for our apology.

Wow just wow. Perfect example of a fan finding ways to justify what is happening. Why can’t they just accept that pool are just as greedy as the other 11 clubs.

That statement from Everton Everton would be there if invited. More hypocrisy. The owner, you think he's not in it for money too? BTW, same goes for all clubs. Rank hypocrisy from them all.
We fecking know it's hypocritical. You're not some footballing sage who sees something the rest of us don't.
That's not the point here though. The fight is against a bunch of c*nts trying to destroy what very little we have left of football.
I hate SKY/BT/UEFA/PL/UEFA/FIFA/GARYNEVILLE?RIOFERDINAND/CARRA/UNITED/GREEDYAGENTS/GREEDYPLAYERS/GREED/MONEYINFOOTBALL just as much, if not, more than you.
You can still be outraged at this idea.
Ollie Holt was saying today that two english clubs were getting cold feet
id say one is us given our owners history of backtracking (furlough scheme and £77 tickets)
i would reckon the other is man city, simply as their place in this years champions league is under threat, its the best chance they've had to win in in their 13 year existence so they wont want to throw it away.
This will be journos briefed by the Premier League and their poor little us campaign
Our owners are seemingly sick of the Financial Fair play charade they signed up to and quoted many times since, they've voted to follow sheer profit doctrine
Neither have any credit at all in any of this, I'm just so done with football and have been for a while, it's always been just a business to all these greed merchants, now it's just a business too me too, will no more let this affect me any longer than I would Apples share price
Like it or not, this is sport now
An email sent by chief executive Billy Hogan on Monday read: “We know that this announcement has provoked strong feelings within the game and elsewhere but we believe this decision is in the best long-term interests of Liverpool Football Club.
“Importantly, this is the beginning of the journey and we can now start an engagement process with you, supporters and key stakeholders to help shape this process in the right way.
“There is still much more information to come in due course.
“I will keep you updated as we progress on this journey and discuss further on our Town Hall tomorrow.”

That town hall was cancelled this morning
That Perez interview was fecking mad. He came out with some right bizarre statements. Shortening the game? fecking hell.
Just been going over some of the last pages of this thread, seeing a few of his comments. Absolute fecking nonsense. Seeing some on here actually agreeing with certain points hurts me. It's not to be forgotten that he is an enemy of this game. One of the absolute worst men involved in football. I get that he's going to get sympathy because there's a mutual disdain for UEFA etc, but he sounded fecking crazy. Making games shorter, young people having no interest in football. feck me. The funniest thing to me is how he genuinely believes himself and Real Madrid are victims of crimes UEFA have committed. Yeah, I'm fecking sure you are lads, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that.
We don't deserve to be playing PL footy next season even if this does go to shit. Have no problem with Chelsea and Man City trying to blame us. We deserve it. I'll 100% be in support of relegation or point deduction. It's unfair on the players and staff. But unfortunately you sign a deal with the devil when you sell your club to foreign investors. Football in this country needs to realise that it's simply not worth the cost. Everyone needs to look at their owners and think whether they would do the same. Then we need to find a new model. Because Perez is absolutely right. Our game is dying. Because of c*nts like him and the owners of clubs all across the country who have no attachment to the culture or fans and would sell it all out like these 12 c*nt of clubs have.
Completely agree with all of this.
Not sure I believe some clubs are having second thoughts. They had 2 years to think about this. I think it's press trying to create pressure on it all.
Those of you who think UEFA, FIFA and the Premier League are the good guys need to give your head a wobble. Champions League, expanded and expanded to create more games of no interest and less competitive. The World Cup, just look at the new format and the same goes for the Euro's. The Premier League was formed out of greed, don't let anyone tell you different because 9% of the TV money gets filtered down to the lower leagues.
The big issue is the closed shop and sporting merit, get that sorted and I don't have a problem. I think the owners have handled it badly but as others have said if they hadn't have been at the table and involved and we would have missed out then everyone would have gone mad.
Don't like it and hope its amended but football is bent at every level.
Another FSG u-turn on the cards?
Nah FSG are one of it's biggest supporters. This is screaming Spurs and Chelsea.
Doubt it. Spurs and Chelsea have the most to gain from this.
Neville also said that this isn't about the teams just the owners , then went ranting about how he watched arsenal and they're a joke and hed rather watch leyton orient.
Well he might just get his wish, Leyton Orient Scarborough, And its Liiiiive.
Yep. He is too dumb to realise that when you start attacking the teams and the club, you risk alienating fans.
Carragher was far more on point with his tone.
Carragher seemed far more authentic, nuanced and generally got it (for once).
Neville is just clickbait ranting like a pissed up bore at the bar.
The problem with gary neville is that hes always been a rat. So it's hard to take him at face value when he speaks sense.
He doesn’t speak much sense though. A lot of what he does is for self interest. He’s never calm in his delivery yet he’s lauded as some saviour.
Agree with this. He is on a mission to become the next Piers Moron...He sees an opportunity to hoodwink football fans who mis understand the whole picture.

Werst Ham fan on RAWK:
Now I hate Man Utd

But I felt Neville who at times is a dick was pretty fair
I read a lot on here & can see ( I understand we all can do it ) at times your Liverpool eyes are just seeing a Manc Twat whatever he says and when he mentions Liverpool take things literally
Unfortunately & I’ve said it before your club to be shot at so to speak by a lot of fans of other clubs who dislike you.
This all though no fault of the manager, players & more importantly the fans just gives people more ammunition to fire at you .
You 6 clubs rightly or wrongly will be universally disliked, not trusted & made scapegoats. Whether this league happens or not the mud will stick
99% of Liverpool fans might be against this but you only have to have one or two fans interviewed on TV who support it & its message will tar a lot of fans with a brush they don’t deserve.
I’ve not read every page but have seen a few comments of people not wholly against this . That shocks me especially from Liverpool fans ( I stress a small small minority)
Because you & Man Utd are the two traditional big clubs the light will be shined on you more as Man City & Chelsea are perceived already as greedy plastic no class clubs . Tottenham irrelevant and just lucky
Even me I’m looking at Liverpool & Man Utd to be the clubs to come out & say this is a bad idea
I don’t expect it from the plastics & Tottenham , Levy will ride this all he can . Whether you are or not other supporters will see you two as the power players in this . Two truely global clubs compared to the others
If this doesn’t happen the big issue for fans towards this 6 clubs is trust . People accept you’ve won more trophies, have more fans brings more money . Entitled to a little bit of were the global brand of the premier league & therefore have earned to put our proposals forward etc . But no one can trust your clubs at the moment maybe not anymore .
I’m just glad I don’t support one of these six clubs to be honest and mine is far from perfect & successful
I wouldn’t want my club to potential be one of the clubs that ruined English football and all that could go with it . For once happy to be smaller, shit & unwanted lolol
Now if any fans I respect are good at mobilising support against establishment or for a just cause . It’s Liverpool supporters
On the flip side if the 6 clubs are relegated WHU is potentially one game away from winning the title.

JLingz memes all over the interwebz.
...

When Carra asked ‘are we hypocrites?’ In reference to the fact sky came in 1992 and led the then domestic‘breakaway’ premier league, Neville couldn’t help but slip in a sly dig in his response. ‘Sky done a lot of good, remember dilapidated grounds and the tragedies of Heysel and Hillsborough’. Omitting to mention the ‘Taylor’ report lead to all seater stadia in the early 90s before sky’s ‘breakaway’. Didn’t mention other tragedies around same time ie Bradford fire. Neville simply couldn’t help himself bring in a bit of tribalism.
Over 550 million pounds was spent by clubs to modernise stadia around the country in the early 90s, the Taylor report stated that the top two leagues had to implement changes by 1995. Taylor report was published in 1990, the breakaway was 1992. New TV revenue did help in modernise stadium, plus goverment tax cuts and incentives. Clubs were broke, stadiums not fit for purpose, the new riches did help bring the game into the 21st century. New stadiums did bring much needed diversity to the grounds. I agree with Neville about that...
My main gripe, is that we sold the family silver to the highest bidder, we shouldn't have let the billionaire class buy football clubs and turn them into cashcows for investors that it is today. Wild west of football. Germany does show there is a way for supporters and private investment to work together. We can go one step further, and change the rules so one club doesn't dominate. I believe in a free market, but football is different. Its one of the greatest institutions this country has, people of all walks of life coming together to support thier club. We no longer go to church every Sunday, but we watch our teams every Saturday. Football is one of the few things that unites us all, and it should he protected and shared between us all.
It is rich Sky doing the whole high moral ground act. They were loving all this investment, which rightly improved the quality of premier league. They didn't give a feck about the social side of football until Sunday.
I don't think the creation of the premier league was the problem, I think it all started when Roman turned up from nowhere and spent 300m in a weekend. That opened a door that was never going to close again.
The ESL is happening, nothing anyone can do about it, after the initial uproar palms will be greased and everyone will start seeing the positive side. Fans are just numbers, it doesnt matter if the subscription money is coming from liverpool or Beijing.
I hate defending Neville, but he laid into United just as hard every time I’ve seen him speak of this.
Laying into United makes sense if he really cares about the situation. He might still have some sway there (long shot but maybe even some credibility), and might be able to make a difference
Liverpool on the other hand.. the manager couldn't dismiss him quick enough. The players will hold him in just as low regard. As for the fans, I've no idea what Gary Neville can tell us about our club that we don't already know. He's just loving sticking the boot in when it comes to us. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Gary Neville was talking about 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. This already should be forbidden. It's our anthem. We have the right to sing our anthem. He doesn't understand it anyway so I don't want this because it's not fair.
"I don't like this [Super League] either, but I don't talk about the other clubs...
"I wish Gary Neville would be in a hot seat somewhere and not where the most money is.
"He was at Manchester United where the most money was and now he's at Sky where the most money is. Don't forget that we have nothing to do with this. We are in the same situation like you all. We got the information yesterday and we still have to play football.
"'Damn them to hell?' Did he write that today? These things are really not OK."
Neville then responds calling Klopp spiky in a spiky manner.

On Woodward leaving

Someone told me Woodward resigned. It better be a fecking joke.
So some clubs are getting nice things out of this shit show
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No no no no no no!!!
This is the worst football related news alll week!!!
This tremendous loss can only be remedied by Utd appointing Gary Neville to succeed the great man and continue his legacy.

Kinell....
NOOOOOOO! They have lost the withered monkey in the spokes of the Man Utd unicycle.

The only thing that will remedy this is that the Glazers sell Utd to Mike Ashley

Apparently Jota absent from training which is sparking some news that he’s injured again ...

If true that’s a big blow to there top 4 charge

Without Jota I doubt them getting top 4 all over again, he is the key, he is the saviour, he is practically their only on form attacker apart from their RB.

It's still hard to believe how they went from "greatest club side ever" to struggling to make top four the following season.

I mean, how does that even happen?

Not enough has been made of their decline, I have no idea how they've got away with having their prize attack all season being shite but it all being forgiven because their best defender is out.

Wasn't Van Dijk in the team when they lost to Aston Villa 7-2?

and before anyone says it I know Salah has scored loads somehow, but his overall play and influence isn't good. Mane is a shadow of the player he was, and it's not even worth mentioning the other bloke.

It’s glorious when I forget they’re playing & see a pop up message telling me they let in the equalizer in the 95th. minute.

Tugging the plastic band with my teeth right now.

Not quite rawk but this is so so funny. I've timestamped it at the best bit.
