I fecking love this show. You don't have to think a single thought, just sit back and enjoy a straightforward, no-frills detective story with some extreme violence thrown in here and there.

Probably best opening three episodes since Season 1.
Excellent start. Wish they had dropped all the episodes.

It was unbelievable when Jet Li did it in that one film but watching a what 6"4 probably 200lbs man drop from a window and catching on to the ledge of another one with just his fingers tips is peak turn your brain off and enjoy TV.

This was the best start in multiple seasons now. The pacing was really good, the fight choreography and staging was nice too. This plot is better than last season so far too which helps the pacing.
Reacher is getting his kicked a lot so far this season makes the fight scenes more interesting
‘ear ‘ear it’s a good series. New episode today was a corker.
Mike Tyson would be a fan of Reacher

I liked the running in the first or second episode. Can't remember which one exactly but I do recall that it was very bouncy.

Quality of this season has dropped off significantly since they left the book material behind. Massive plot changes after first 3 episodes
I thought it had the making of the best season yet after 3 episodes. The 4th one being where it diverts from the book is interesting to know, as I felt that's where it got a bit silly.
It’s an interesting one to adapt. Book was released before Bin Laden was killed and the whole plot point was that the Presidential candidate had a photo taken with Bin Laden, the two women were Taliban or Al Queda. Wouldn’t be anywhere near as massive a deal now as when he was alive, so it’s strange they picked this book. It doesn’t work in 2026 like it did in 2009, hence the changes and silliness.
Politicians had more shame in 2009 as well. I can imagine even if bin Laden was alive, Trump could take him to the baseball and be able to shrug it off.

Love Reacher but this season has gone a bit daft. Feels like they hammed it up and rushed it out.

Aargh, gotcha. Yeah thought you might be talking about season 04 but wasn’t sure. The Robert Patrick one was season 02 yeah. Season 03 was with that kid and his dad plus that giant of a bodyguard.

He might have sucked ass (he has done for decades), but he had one of the best nods/ callback/ homage I’ve seen for a very long time.
