You're absolutely right. He's the only good thing in it and he's very entertaining for a season or two and then the whole thing just decends into an even more unbelievable farce. His scene swallowing is gloriously over the top but can get a bit much depending on how much Spader you can take. I personally never got to the end but it was ridiculous fun for a while.What's The Blacklist like? I watched the first episode and James Spader is very entertaining but it feels like he's the only good thing in it.

Speaking of good casts on AppleTV, Matthew Rhys’ nervous energy is great as the mayor of a weird New England town on Widow’s Peak. Kate O’Flynn is good as well and I’d watch Stephen Root in anything, even if he was just fussing about a stapler.
