Legends was excellent.
Anyone watched the Spider Noir thing on Prime already? Is it any good?
I'm enjoying it. Cage is Cage, entertaining in a wacky way. Black & white is probably the "official" way to watch it but don't, it looks great in colour.
If you like this kind of thing I’d recommend ‘Last Samurai Standing’ which is showing on Netflix. Loved it
I'm a few episodes into season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbours and I think it's just as entertaining as season 1. The introduction of James Marsden's character adds to the witty dialogue.
Cannot wait for second season. I loved it.
Two episodes in and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a fun pastiche of hard boiled detective noir - à la Sin City - with added super heroics, which Nicholas Cage is perfectly suited for.
Probably the best live action thing Sony have done with the IP (without the assistance of Marvel Studios) since Spider-Man 2. They should have been doing interesting stuff like this instead of those crappy Venom/Morbius/etc movies.
A $400 million budget is absolutely insane though. Dunno how Amazon Prime Video stays afloat the way they piss money up the wall.

I said it a while back, the second season is starting to hit its stride.
Watched a documentary on Prime this evening, The Secret Mall Apartment. A group of young artists set a challenge for how long they can stay in the Providence Place mall before getting kicked out. They aim to make it a week, but after finding an unused space (a byproduct of what is an oddly shaped mall that is built over a river and around the perimeter of a major highway), they extend the challenge to actually fully living in it, and succeeding for several years.
It touches on broader topics, relating to the gentrification of Providence, Rhode Island, and how the mall apartment experiment became an indirect protest against that.
This all took place in the early 00's but was only compiled a couple of years ago, so expect some grainy, pixelated Blair Witch style footage.
It's a cool doc though, I'd recommend it if you need to stick something on for an hour or so.

I binged the season in one go which in rarely do. It's a good watch and I enjoyed the 70s vibe. I'm not sure how I'd describe it to be honest.
The thing I both love and hate about that show is how much I can relate to in a way. Life sucks and then you die.

And yeah, even though they're wealthy people living lavish lifestyles, many of the characters experiences are still somewhat relatable. Lean on a family member for a emotional and financial support or take a risk and go your own way. Tolerate your annoying neighbour or occasionally let the intrusive thoughts win.

A show version of a remake of a movie of a novel adaptation. My favorites in Javier Bardem and Amy Adams replace de Niro and Jessica Lange, respectively, but there is no one that can replace Nick Nolte. Could've done without the explicitness at the start but it has promise.

Yep. A tad jarring at the outset. As someone who made the same decision once years ago, I appreciated the disclaimer at the beginning.

Going back in time and starting Banshee as not seen it before and heard good things.
That's good to hear, season 1 was an enjoyable watch in its silliness, I think it somewhat lacks a bit of self awareness to be the shot at the excesses of that side of US population it could be, but it's enjoyable entertainment. Jon Hamm is bloody charismatic and carries a lot of it on his own. Looking forward to jumping into season 2.

It gets better and better. I've watched it 3 or 4 times in total, and it hits some highs very few other shows do, with some spectacular writing, cinematography and performances along the way. There's a dedicated thread on it, which will be too spoiler heavy for you at this stage, but that you might enjoy reading once you've finished it.

Banshee was wonderfully guilty pleasure watching TV. Also funny to see Hoon Lee from Your Friends and Neighbors in quite a different yet somewhat recognizable role.
