If we ever start winning games again 3-0 in the 80th minute Casemiro would be a good option to bring on for Mainoo, who isn't much of a defender and whose stamina dissipates after 75 minutes or so. But if we can sell him even for 10m or even a free, let's move him on.

Interesting. Am guessing we wouldn’t want to splash huge wages while attempting to reduce the wage bill overall, but who knows. Playing on the front foot with him, Ugarte, Bruno, Mainoo, Amad and a solid LWB would be fun to watch, although may be too small against some teams

Feel sorry for Casemiro now, can’t even get subbed on when we need a runner in midfield. I do wonder if he’s just going to sit out his contract as he’s hardly going to feature anymore.
That’s why I’d love to get Douglas Luiz in on loan until the summer as he’s got an unbelievable engine and is proper box to box whilst having been a high quality PL established player, I think McTominay would have done well in this system too.
I think Ugarte, Mainoo, Luiz and Collyer is enough to get us to the summer and if Luiz impresses then we could look at bringing him in permanently and then there’s also Hjulmand at Sporting as well as Kone who’s trained with the first team but I agree we need players who run like mad dogs.
