If Raphinha is hitting a total package of £65m, the same sort of price for Richarlison sounds about right.

Interesting that three of the most high profile attackers on the move this season are PL based Brazilians. Add in Antony and it’ll probably come to a cumulative figure of around £200m for all 4. Not fully convinced by any one of them just yet though!
Competition is very stiff for that Brazilian frontline and with the winners of Euro 2020 not even at the WC and no international side really standing out currently Brazil have a pretty good chance of winning the WC. We know how much winning and playing for Brazil means to these lads.

Richarlison is a player who'd might be superb under Conte. He has this shithousery and hussle in him and definitely adds more to their attack. Would be very effective from coming off the bench.

Getting a tad worried about Spurs tbh.

Looking like Conte is building a real unit of hard working players to help Kane out.

An attack of son, kane, kulusevski and richalison is fantastic. Much stronger than what we have!

Very good signing for Spurs imo. Will definitely improve them and give them more options upfront. Conte definitely transforming Spurs. Was being wasted in a struggling and disjointed Everton lineup.

Yep they've quietly built a very decent squad with a great manager.

Top 4 is going to be mega tight again this year, 7/8 teams competing.

Also feel Newcastle is one to watch as well.
Think they'll get closer but unless they have a mega window will fall a bit short. Will probably be around the West ham/Wolves 7th-10th IMO.

Pope and Botman are a good start, but they need more quality to break into this 'top 6'. City/Liverpool/Tottenham/Chelsea/Arsenal/United are just better right now.

Spurs already signed Perisic aswell. Can see them being close this season. Conte is good at getting teams to that title.

So are they going to play with 2 stikers and 2 wingers ? Or Son/Richarlison are going to play as Cam ? He is not going to put Kane or Son on the bench, and on the right Left footed Kulusevski is doing fine and you are not paying 60 mil for backup player if you are Spurs.

Another thing is… lot of Brazilian offensive players are changing clubs few months before World Cup

Raphinha, Richarlison, Jesus

Probably Antony, and we will see what is going to happen with Firminho or Neymar…

Only doubt over Richarlison is his end product. If he can improve in that regard he'll be great for Spurs as his general play and physical output has always been quality

I think Spurs should be looking at challenging Pool for second this season.

Bissouma, Richarlison, Perisic and a RWB adds starting quality depth to the squad - seriously underrated how important that is.

Says it all about the state of the club right now.

Richarlison will be our main rotation player for the front three positions so essentially he is the main backup for Kane and Son - Kulusevski is very versatile and could potentially play behind a front two as well so what this signing brings us is a lot of flexibility tactically and much greater depth in our squad in forward positions.

Didn't he cost Everton £40/50m? Showing a loss would've been even worse, given their state then £60m is a good deal for Everton.
That’s the point, we could be playing hardball and refusing to let him go unless a silly fee like 80m+ is offered but we have lost all bargaining which is terrible and we need to make sure we do not make the same mistakes going forward.

you getting 60 for your best player who is working for you and you know what you get, so you are selling him to be able to buy someone for the same amount who could as well not work for you at all ?

Make sense

£60 million and people are quite positive about this? This thread would look a lot different if United were paying that for him.

Where does he even play in Conte’s system?

Exactly. Isnt he LW/Number 9? So who's place is he going to take? Kane or Son? Or is he back up for both? Or is one of them being sold? Seems nuts that Spurs are blowing 60 mill on back up players.

He isn't going to replace anybody - he is there to provide much needed rotation options for our front three. He will play lots of minutes for us. We are just now doing what City, Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool do regularly - spend money on players to improve the squad not just the first 11.

You just said he’s back up and a squad option?

Very City like if so. No one else picks up squad players at that price.
We are moving in that direction yes. We are going to likely bring in at least another 3 players this window on top of this signing. We are really going for it.

Big expectations surely? I’m surprised you’ve got the money to spend on this. You have Romero to pay for at £42m don’t you? And Kuli?

Maybe Kane is leaving…?

If not, Conte will be pushing to win the PL or CL this season, not scrape Top 4. Proper manager.
No he won’t

You think Richarlison and a 33 year old Perisic playing at left wing back are going to get them close to City and Liverpool?

We have had an injection of £150 million from the owner which is unheard of. That is money on top of what would have been our normal transfer budget for this window plus any money we get from sales. We have potentially over £200m to spend. We are backing Conte more than we have ever done with any manager before him. The stadium is starting to bring in some serious cash for us - apparently the Arsenal match last season earned us over £2 million from that alone. We may not be bankrolled by a country like some other clubs but we are still a rich club it's just that until now we have been penny pinching.

It is a very exciting time to be a Spurs fan.

Not the most graceful player but has a great attitude and will be a nuisance for opponents.

Not sure where he plays mind though five subs helps a lot in resting Kane properly for once.
