Without taking this thread off topic, they can do what they want. If they believe in god and want to pray, thats their choice to do so
How dare they freely express themselves in a way that in no way, shape or form has an effect on you at all.

Hell they weren't even the only team doing it.

Though you might want to take a shot at Mo who seemed to offer up some thanks to his own make believe friend.
Plenty do it , including plenty of our medal winners.
Dont see the problem to be honest, they believe in him and he helped them, who are we to diss them
Exactly

It's nobody's business at all really
Actually agree too. No-one gave a shit when Hernandez did his praying stuff on the halfway line.
Ummm you guys understand what a joke is, right?

Yeah but do you understand sometimes on the Internet things do not come out as you intended? This was one of those cases, especially given the over all way the Caf is not fond of religion.
Fair.

For the record i hate religion but don't discuss it. I just read it and assumed he was joking.

Why do you think it's ok to mock an athlete on their appearence, seconds after getting so offended by what looked to me to be an obvious joke?
First of all, if your talking about Emily Diamond, I wasn't mocking. It was just an observation. I actually think she is quite pretty.
Secondly, I wasn't offended by his opinion, I just wrote that I think differently.
Thirdly, you still haven't answered my question on how you think its was an 'obvious joke'

I'm not trying to start arguments, I said I didn't want to de-rail the thread, I just thought I would reply to the guy. If he was joking, I'm sorry, but it obvisouly hard to notice that

My brain can't get pregnant!
Tis ok @Rolandofgilead leave it mate, as I said, I didn't want to start an argument/cause offence because of a tongue in cheek comment. Certainly didn't think it would change the topic of discussion from what was a great night of sport, and rather selfishly a great night for team GB again.

You should have taken a shot at Mo for offering up his thanks to his make believe friend. That would have gone over big also. :p

Imagine how the 4th guy (who had a bronze medal) must be feeling now
It's kind of shocking really. The fact they've taken action and immediately reversed it like that is a bit ridiculous. Should've reached a conclusion either way and stuck with it.

I don't like this one gold cushion we have on China. Are we up for one in any other events?

There's a british boxer in a final today. Nothing else, I believe.

There's very little else left, though. Mostly ball game finals, so China don't even have that unless they pull off something in Marathon or Mountain bike.

Mountain biking race is a great watch, a bit strange when they end up carrying their bike because the course is too challenging

I'm finding it quite boring, downhill mountain biking would have been far more exciting.

Always kind of feels like the games just sort of tail out on the final day, like they're just getting the few things they've not finished yet out of the way. Sometimes think it'd be good if you had a major event like the 100m or something closing the games off.

Yeah that 1st round was his and 2nd deffo shouldnt have been unanimous.

Shame Joshua wasnt in the ring, would have liked to have seen him knock out that cocky git who blocked for most of the fight. Also Joshua looked pissed after being cut off by presenter to show the 2 french boxers.
Ain't this the same presenter who Redgrave was having a go at a few days ago for not giving him enough time to speak?

I'm sick and tired of this god awful Brazilian audience. Watching the basketball match now and they're randomly booing again. They're the worst sporting audience I've ever seen in my life, worse than the French during Rolland Garros even, by some margin.
