Rojo or Fred as backup LB?

So that is terrible but fergie moving the likes of Phil Neville from left back into midfield was completely normal or pep putting zinchenko from midfield to left back/wingback during a title winning season?

There many other instances and there is more to the idea than just fred being left footed = left back, he has a lot of qualities that can be found in a good fullback/wingback.
I didn’t say terrible. Both of those examples are using younger players, like I said. The better example at Man City would be Delph, or Milner at Liverpool. The way Pep plays, it actually makes sense to have a midfielder there though.

We seem to want someone to run past Rashford and deliver crosses, which isn’t Fred going to be suitable for. Just my opinion of course, but I don’t see he would bring anything better to the position than Williams.

Not too sure why so many people are ridiculing the Fred suggestion, he has it in his locker to do a good job there if needed. Rojo however is shocking at left back.
