If Inter seriously get him back on a loan deal after selling him for 115M, that would be the coup of the century. We seem to have gotten off easy, almost recouping all over expenditure on him and he even scored a fair few for us.

He is the most recent version of Mario Gomez, it makes no sense that he hasn't joined Galatasaray yet.

We’ve had some humdingers in recent years (Sanchez springs to mind), but this signing takes the cake.

It feels like something of an oversight, too. No real scrutiny either way.

Called it as soon it happened despite everyone telling me he had suddenly become a footballer at 28, he's shit and I couldn't belive our luck when we recouped most of the outlay.

Will never understand how manager like Tuchel could want Menamena for £100m or whatever they spent on him absolutely absurd.

We recouped our money and his first season for us was nowhere near as bad as Chelsea’s.

So much for the club of his dream.

He could score 50 at inter next year and nobody will care in the slightest. If I were him I would’ve tried to prove myself at Chelsea but clearly he’s not made of tough stuff; we already knew that from his time at United.

Pogba to us.

Coutinho to Barca.

Dembele to Barca.

Griezmann to Barca. (Jesus Christ, Barca.)

Hazard to Madrid.

Lukaku back to Chelsea.

Which is the biggest flop ever?

I think it’s Coutinho, personally. He went on loan to Bayern and scored twice against Barca in an 8-2 CL QFs thrashing whilst still being their player.

It's between Coutinho, Hazard and Lukaku. The others have actually played well at some points while the other three have no silver linings.

Griezmann back to Atletico could be a disaster though.

Lukaku. You can kind of vaguely see why people would pay a pile of money for the others and they've occasionally been fairly valuable to the team involved (i guess Bayern got better use of Coutinho than Barca ever have).
Losing 107m in transfer value over 1 season is just ... fairly unique though.

Did they buy him back or was it a loan?

Really, really hope we get Inter in the CL next season. I want him to feel the boos and animosity

Worst transfer in PL history.

£100m for a player thats supposed to complete your team.

He joins. Gets fat again. Gets lazy. Blames everyone but himself. Goes on tv in the land he left. Says he wants to return. Stinks up the team for months afterwards.

Goes back for £8m on loan.

New high watermark.

Romano reported no obligation to buy, which makes sense given that Inter is skint at the moment and can’t make any commitment.
From what I have seen recently they are supposed to have an obligation to buy with the extension of the loan.

Hazard probability the worst as Madrid haven't been able to get rid.

I'd shout Morata to Real, to Chelsea, to Atletico and to Juventus...

Just going off this one. You might well be right, but Inter can’t afford to buy him unless they sell someone for 50m+ next season, which isn’t a given.
