Derby need to sell to even see the season out, if Everton paid off Derby to release Rooney and it ensured they have a chance at staying up I reckon he would go.

I would rather he see it through, he’s done a great job so far at that level, let him learn his trade before jumping too soon ala Lampard.

Per the second part, I agree. The buzz and massive high he would get from keeping Derby up would be great for his career. He will always get chances at Prem jobs because of who he is. See him learning a lot from the Derby experience, keeping a togetherness in the dressing room and one for all mentality could be so good for his man management skills at a bigger club.
