I have nothing against Milan in general but I am absolutely gonna love hatewatching them for whatever short period he lasts there.
Hoping this a tremendous Ali G reference that everyone else has missed.
The problem for me is that Milan will quickly realise their mistake just like Leverkusen did with Ten Hag showing a glaring problem we still have at United. Blind faith in managers until their position becomes toxic dividing the fan base.

In the first five games before the first international break, they will play Torino, Juventus, and Lazio away. Then they have a string of games against tricky opponents that they should win until the next international break, with Inter waiting a week before that. He's on a hiding to nothing. And let's not forget that Conte remains unemployed.
Good thing is, at least we will know what formation they will be playing today and it wont change no matter what happens.
This is a fair point, but judging by his time at United - Milan need to be worried about the 'winnable' games more than the hard ones. Remember how much credit he magically got for losing to Arsenal at home in the season opener

True. I was reading some Milan fan discussions, and one of them said he can't see them stepping onto the pitch with the confidence of a better team against any opponent because of the way he sets them up. And I thought to myself, "I know this feeling too well". And most of them have zero confidence in the people who run the club. The similarities are eerie.
The crazy thing was he still had a lot of faith and support from the people above him and a large section of the fanbase. Even after that shambolic Everton game, too. He'd still be here right now if he hadn't fell out with the powers that be.

The funny thing about him not watching the pens against Grimsby was that we were long past the phase of feeling embarrassment by that game/performance. We reached that phase as soon as Onana gifted them their opener and we were failing to string 5 passes together. So, like 10 minutes in.
By the point of the pens, winning wouldn't have saved our blushes so he may as well have just watched anyway.
I have a more fond approach towards Amorim than most and wish him well but I’d love to see us smash him today

Credit where credit is due. If amorim can get the right players into his formation it can be difficult to play against. However it requires a real commitment from the club and the players. Also when teams learn to counter the formation then what do you do?

Today the united players had the chance to show he has no clue and they put in a awful performance and we have to suffet again.
The problem is that.. he does have a clue. Yes, it didn't work here. But for Sporting he was doing extremely well, with entertaining football. I'll be surprised if he flops at AC Milan despite the hammering he's gotten for the pre-season.
He was completly inflexible and told us that it was everyone elses fault but his. The best player in the Premier league last season was played out of position for half the year. If he had changed and been flexible and i

Had the last laugh today because quite a few of our players have no self respect. Watched the highlights, their players just wanted it more than ours. Particularly poor from Shaw, our only proper left back in the squad.

As for Amorim. He is talented. United job was too much for him, as evidenced by his repeated mishaps, apologies of "I am young", and the ceremonial departure. He was not ready for a job this big and people who hired him should be fired for both hiring somebody so unready, as well as not supporting him, and for hiring somebody who was playing a system too foreign for us.
He probably could have made us much better if he was supported properly, which he wasn't. But his style of football was hated by most fans, and overall my feelings about him are that - I don't miss him at all, among other things for his stubborn and idiotic insistence on playing Bruno deep, and benching Mainoo. Good riddance and good luck to him away from us

He had to leave. He has a very specific style off football that wasn't working and he is very rigid and not flexible. However, Carrick is nowhere near the level he showed in Sporting till now.
Hope he does well at Milan.
He seemed like a likeable character, and obviously the players liked him, especially the Portuguese contingent....
He doesn't come of as a prick no matter how we looked at him in the end.
Someone said it, he was the wrong guy at the wrong time, probably too early for him.
I actually have a lot of resentment for him in how he played his cards wrongly.... can't say I want him to succeed in Milan as that would imply it's us, not him.
