I was wishing him so well and redeem himself at UTD match after match but the game against dreadful Spurs in europa league was the worst thing.

True. They all failed since. Even Mourinho landed Madrid job by chance and specific circumstances, otherwise he was managing Spurs, Roma and Fenerbahce and not successfully. We'll see with Amorim, do think his formation is better suited for Serie A but he'll also probably have to be more flexible.

Had Amorim not decided to hit the eject button in January, we would likely have kept him until March/April and missed out on the CL places in the weakest Premier League season in recent history.
The whole Amorim era is a huge “L” for the INEOS management team. They panicked into appointing him in the first place, then got scared when the results never came, and eventually got bailed out twice: first, when Amorim decided to leave, and second, when Carrick turned out to be pretty good.

It will be mildly interesting to see if there's many handshakes and hugs between Amorim and United players pre and post match. Considering it's only a friendly, you'd ordinary assume an ex-manager will have a warm embrace with the players he used to manage. But knowing what Amorim is like, he will be heading straight down the tunnel at full time.

It was super weird how against a poll they were. There was a really weird defensive and protective nature around Amorim, which felt like it was becoming what we have laughed at for so many years on RAWK.
Up there with the Villarreal shootout. At least Villarreal were a decent team and Ole watched the pens
I tried to be optimistic going into the season even though he should've probably gone after bottling the final to Spurs, but that game should've 100% been his last. It was crazy that he survived, and he may still have been here right now if he hadn't fell out with the powers that be.
Our players will all have an attack of PTSD when they see him on the sidelines... They'll all start playing out of position and will be waiting to be subbed out for a center back.

Please don't ban me for saying this but as a neutral it was hilarious to see a section of caftards defending Amorim, game after game. It was never his fault! Cherry on top was that loveletter written to Amorim after he was sacked. It was proper weird given he had no prior connection to the club, nor did he show much affection towards the club and the fans.

Honestly the craziest thing I've seen and it goes to show you how easily people can be swayed by a cult of personality. You always hear about cult leaders and think how the feck are people following this guy, and it was weird to see real-time as that sort of thing went on.
It was as if he left us in a better position than when he took over. It was insanity
